Moon knew ever since she was little that her family was poor. She tries to help support her mother by giving some of the money she wins in Pokémon battles to her, but it was never enough. Recently she's noticing more and more letters in the mail that says 'ERGENT'. Then one day her mom breaks the news to her. "Hey Moonie, I... I have something to tell you." sighs her mother. "What is it?" Moon asks. "We... we can't afford the house anymore." These were the words that Moon was dreading. It was new for Moon, she's always had to buy cheaper things but, she's never been homeless. Moon stands in the living room speechless. "My friend on Ulaula island is going to let me stay with her but... there wouldn't be enough room for you..." Moon knew exactly what her mother was asking her to do. She was asking her to find a friend that would let her stay at their house. Moon simply said, "I understand, mom." "We have a week left to pack" said her mother. "Moon?" "Yeah?" she responded. "I love you, sweetheart" Moon was swooped into a loving embrace. "I love you, too" said Moon, trying to hold back tears. They stood hugging each other for almost 10 minutes, until finally, Moon let go of her mother. She went to her room to pack her belongings.
