Once Moon landed at Aether, she went directly to the Mansion. It didn't take long, and before she knew it  she was knocking on Gladion's door. He answered the door with a certain look on his face. Moon recognized this look. It was what he looked like when he had something on his mind. "Hey." he said simply. He stepped back to let Moon in. They had done this multiple times by now so without a word she sat on the foot of his bed. "Why did you want to come over so suddenly?" Gladion asked as he sat next to her. "Umm... I have something to tell you..." Moon started. Gladion's eyes dialated as his mind raced with possibilities. "So uh, I was hanging out with Hau earlier and he brought up when Lillie asked who my crush was... He asked me and uh... I told him." Moon confessed. Gladion had an expression that she couldn't decipher. "D-don't worry. I only told him I have feelings for you and we've kissed." she elaborated. "Okay... I guess... I'm sorry I just don't know how to respond..." Gladion responded. "You don't need to. I-I just wanted you to know."
Gladion looked down at nothing and they sat in silence for a few minutes. Gladion took a deep breath and said "Moon... A-are you sure I'm the person you want to be with?" Gladion questioned. Moon didn't know what to say. "Of course!" she answered. Unfazed, he said "I... I don't deserve you. You're amazing and I'm... I'm just some guy. You deserve so much better!" Moon rested her hand on his lower arm. Gladion moved away. "I won't let you say that." Moon responded directly. Gladion looked her in the eyes, surprised. "Gladion... you're so much more than 'some guy'. I... I can't imagine a world without you in it. I love you, Gladion, and no amount of you putting yourself down will change that."
