Pokémon Gladion x Moon - More than a Friend

Part 41

Moon talked to her mother on the phone and agreed to stay at Aether for the time being. She explained that she was staying to help with Gladion's mental health, though she didn't want to tell the deatails without his permission. There was another reason that she wanted to stay there... but Moon didn't mention it. She hadn't told her mother yet that Gladion was her boyfriend. She didn't know how to. That wasn't a problem though. Gladion didn't want to tell people, and neither did Moon. The rest of that day was pretty uneventful and it was over soon.

Moon gasped for air as her body went numb. Where was she? How did she get there? It was frigid but the air was dry. Snow wasn't the cause. Moon tried to move but felt chains at her wrists and ankles. She knew this feeling of being bound and scared. She had felt it not long before, when she was kidnapped. At least then she knew what was going on. Now she was alone and cold. It was always Moon's worst fear to be alone in the world. No matter what happened, she always knew there was someone in her corner to help her, she always had a friend. Right now she had no idea what to do. She tried to scream, but no one was there to hear her. She kept screaming for help in the cold abyss, but to no avail.

"Calm down. I'm right here." She heard Gladion's soothing voice echo in whatever room she was in.
"I have you right here"
With those words the chains at her wrists and ankles disappeared and it got warmer. She was free.

"... I love you, Moon."

Moon woke from her nightmare still in her lover's arms. "Are... you awake?" he asked, with it not being clear if she had woken yet.
Moon instantly hugged Gladion.
"I heard you had a nightmare... Are you okay?" he hugged back and asked. Moon sniffed and said weakly "Y-You saved me..."
"Of course I did. I wouldn't let you just suffer there without helping you." he explained "No... It's just... I actually heard you, f-from the real world. You saved me." she praised. Moon went back and looked Gladion in the eyes. "I love you too." she said and leaned in, closing the gap between them again.
