Gladion's Perspective
"Gladion! It's so good to hear your voice..." Moon said on the other line. She sounds like she was scared...
"What's going on? Are you okay?"
"I-I'm fine. I'm sorry, I just had a nightmare and wanted to hear your voice." Thank god it was only a nightmare and nothing was really wrong. It was really cute she thought to call me...
"It's fine, no need to apologize..." I didn't like how silent it got after that. Neither of us knew what to say, but we also didn't want to hang up.
"What was the nightmare about?"
"Huh?"
"What did you dream?" It was silent for a few seconds. I shouldn't have pressed her about it.
"Well... At first it reminded me of a different nightmare I had a while back. It was really cold and I was in chains."
"And you had dreamed this before?" She chuckled lightly to herself.
"Yeah. It was the dream you saved me from! I don't know if you remember, though." Of course I remember... seeing her helpless in her dream...
"And then?"
"Then suddenly, the air changed. It wasn't cold anymore and it was hard to breathe. You wouldn't know, but it was exactly how ultra space felt." I gasped.
"Ultra space?"
"Yeah... Then I heard this terrible screech, and when I looked around... I saw your mother." She was speaking with a sad tone.
"My mother?" I was listening intently, there's no mistaking that's what she said, but I still felt the need to repeat her words.
"She looked just like she did that day." Moon was speaking in an almost whisper.
"That day... you mean when you went to ultra space with Lillie, right?"
"Yes. It was terrible. She had been completely taken over by the beast." Her voice was shaking. "I can still remember it exactly..."
Damnit, I want to comfort her so bad. I can't stand to hear her like this.
"Then she... she-!" I shushed her. I didn't want to hear any more!
"It's okay. I shouldn't have even asked." I heard her sniffle on the other side. I made her cry! I feel so bad for her...
"Moon."
"Y-Yeah, Gladion?"
"I'm coming over."
