Pokémon Gladion x Moon - More than a Friend

Part 49

Moon woke up before her alarm today, so she got up and made herself some breakfast. As she mixed some ingredients, she started thinking about yesterday's events. She couldn't think of a better outcome from telling her mom she was dating Gladion. But then Hau popped into her head... "It'd probably be best to tell him too... I mean, he already knew I had a crush on Gladion before..." she thought aloud.
So it's decided, Moon'll tell Hau today!

Hau's perspective
It's about lunchtime, I should probably go eat...

ding!

Huh? Oh! It's a text from Moon!
"Hey Hau! We haven't hung out in a while, you wanna go grab some Malasldas?"

Heck yeah I do!
We text for a few minutes and decide to meet up at the shop in Hau'oli city.
"Moon!" I yell to grab her attention.
"Hau! Hau have you been?"
I chuckle at her pun.

We go inside and grab a table. We chat about pretty much anything that comes to mind. I little while in, I notice that she's fallen a little quiet. Lost in thought.
"Somethin' on your mind?"
"Oh! I um... I actually had something I wanted to bring up...
It's actually about Gladion"
Gladion? My mind raced with possibilities. I know that she likes him AND that they've kissed before, but this might not even be about their relationship...

Moon's perpective
God this is much more awkward than with my mom, though nothing could ever top how Lillie found out.
I'll just come out and say it.
"We're dating now!"
His eyes widened, but he still had his usual smile, so I couldn't quite decipher what he was thinking.
"That's awesome!" he broke the silence. If it wasn't for his naturally friendly demeanor, I don't think I would've been able to tell.
Suprisingly, we quickly woved past that topic and continued chatting like we were before.
It's odd. TV and Movies always treated telling someone you're dating someone else as some big event, but in reality it's not all that important.

I'm happy my friends know, and I'm sure Gladion will be too.
