Mysteryheart

She looked at him. She couldn't think of anything to say to him. Mysteryheart opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. Her eyes saddened. She couldn't tell Bearpaw anything, she couldn't imagine what he was going through.

"I... I-I'm sorry, Bearpaw... Cloudpaw shouldn't have died," he didn't turn, he didn't speak. The apprentice walked straight for the tunnel's exit.

He gave her a forced smile. She could tell because he smiled at her a lot. "It wasn't your fault. I love you, I can't lose you. The Clan can't lose you."

She gave him a puzzled look. "What do you mean? The Clan can't lose their leader. The leader leads the Clan. They need Graystar more than me."

"You'll find out what I mean later..." his voice trailed off. He gave her a lick on her snout. He dove into the fight.

"Bearpaw!" she howled running after him.

She was tackled. Her body pounded on the ground with a loud thud! Mysteryheart lifted her head to see who was on top of her. Cloudyrain! her eyes looked into his.

She gritted her teeth. "Get off of me you furball before I make you!" she snarled.

Cloudyrain looked at her. "I'm not here to fight you, I-"

Mysteryheart interrupted him. "I told you to fight for your own Clan!"

He lifted his body off of her. "My Clan are fighting for terrible reasons! WindClan wants your territory! Whitestar wants ThunderClan dead!" he paused. "There needs to be four Clans in the forest! I-I can't let you die!"

She gave him a scowl. "I've moved on! You should too," she advised, suddenly hatred in her voice.

"No. I still love you... Even if you don't feel the same for me," Cloudyrain looked into her eyes.

Her hatred faded and her eyes softened. "I told you, I will always love you!"

Cloudyrain gave her a glace, love flowed through his eyes. "I'm fighting for you!"

She watched him attack a WindClan dog. Graystar! she realized that she hadn't seen her since Bearpaw ran into the camp. She began to race through fighting warriors. Mysteryheart fell to the ground once more. She lifted her head expecting Cloudyrain. When she lifted her head seeing Raggedpelt.

He had almost killed her father on WindClan's first attack. "I didn't finish your father last time, but this time I plan to kill everyone you care about. Since you're already in my paws I guess you'll have to see them die from StarClan!"

Mysteryheart felt him dig his claws into her stomach. "Raggedpelt, you fox-hearted dog! StarClan won't except you in their home. No. No matter where you go, no one will care for you! No one!"

He dug in deeper. She felt blood flow out of her. He lunged out for her neck. She flinched but didn't feel his teeth rip through her throat .

She opened one eye hesitantly. She saw Bearpaw attacking the larger warrior. Raggedpelt must have seen horror in her eyes because she could soon see him try to kill Bearpaw.

"No!" she howled as she saw Bearpaw's body slams to the ground, he was now limp. Raggedpelt looked at me and smirked.

"I'll finish you later," Raggedpelt said and dove back into the fight.

Bearpaw moaned. "Bearpaw!" she met his side. Blood spewed from his neck where Raggedpelt bit him.

"B-be... Be the leader," he coughed in pain. "You were destined to be. I-I love you."

His eyes closed. She noticed he was no longer moving. Mysteryheart wailed in pain. "Bearpaw! Don't leave me here! I can't fight alone...."

She saw Cloudyrain behind her. "I'm sorry. I would rather it be me then to see you in this much pain," he stated quietly. She ran to him.

It had been long since they brushed against one another. "I'd miss you to though," she replied. "I still love you! If you and me were in the same Clan you'd be mine. Things don't work that way though," she muttered through all the pain in her heart.

She was comforted by his warmth, his love. "I'm sorry. You shouldn't have to go through this."
