Mysteryheart
She woke next to Jackie. Lifting her head to look around, her stomach growled. Jackie's didn't. The dog lay limply asleep.
Food. I need food, she thought. "Jackie," she said while lifting her body. "Jackie, I'm starving. Do you have any food?"
Jackie's eyes opened. "Yeah. Are you that hungry? When's the last time you ate?"
"I'm starving!" she exclaimed. "I think I ate yesterday morning, before the fight."
"You need some food," he stated lifting his body up. "While we eat you'll tell me about this fight of yours."
Mysteryheart followed him. "Not mine, my Clan's," she corrected.
He went up to this metal container and stuck his nose in it. When his head lifted up he was chewing. "In the name of StarClan, what is that terrible smell that you call food?"
He laughed. "StarClan? You're joking, right? This is my food that I'm sharing with you. Now what is this you speak of, StarClan?"
She growled. "How can you never hear of StarClan? Wait forget that question. You're a leash-dog!"
"Calm down," he urged with hurt in his eyes. "Please, if you want to cure your annoying stomach, then eat!"
She snorted. "Eat that? No. Do you know where I can find a mouse around here?"
"A mouse?" Jackie's eyes were glued to Mysteryheart's. "Oh I get it. Mystery likes to catch her food."
"I'd love if you caught it for me, but looks like you have an easy leash-dog life," she spat.
He gritted his teeth. "You're lucky we've got one in the wall, you can catch it if you'd like. I mean, my house-folk wouldn't have to worry about it anymore."
"For StarClan's sake, Jackie, please tell me where it is," she growled. "I need to eat before I leave."
He gaged on his food. "Leave? No. Why? Already? Mystery, can't you stay awhile longer?"
"No. I've got to get back to my Clan, they need me. And I can't live an easy leash-dog life. It's in no warrior's blood," she noticed hurt in his eyes. His brown eyes glinted with defeat. His white back hunched as he sat.
"Follow me," he muttered. His head was down and he walked slowly.
When they finally reached where the mouse was, Mysteryheart spotted it. She leaped on it and stuck her teeth in it's neck. "Thanks Jackie! You helped me and your house-folk!"
Foot steps entered the room. "Hi Jackie! Did you bring a friend today?"
What in the name of StarClan just happened? I heard every single word. she thought shaking her head in disbelief. Queens and leaders passed down that no one was able to understand them, yet I just heard every single word come our of that two-leg pup's mouth.
The pup bent down and Jackie walked up to it. "Come on, this is one of my house-folk," he barked.
"J-Jackie. I just heard every word come out of it's mouth!" she exclaimed.
"Really? All I heard was Jackie. What did she say?" he questioned.
Mysteryheart was stunned. Not even Jackie could understand it. "It said, " Hi Jackie! Did you bring a friend today?"
"Yes I did," he told the pup.
"Awwww!!! Jackie you're so cute! I can't wait to take you and your friend to the park!" it squealed.
Jackie turned to her. Knowing what he wanted she answered. "She's taking us to the park," she told him. "What's a park?"
"The most fun place where you can get pet and speak with other dogs!" he stated.
Another two-leg came into the room. "What are you doing up so early, Sasha?"
"Her name, the two-leg pup, it's Sasha," her eyes flicked from Jackie to the two-legs.
"Jackie? Is that your friend? She caught our mouse!" the two-leg exclaimed.
"Are they that stupid? Yeah, I can catch mice. What's the big deal with that?" she snarled.
Jackie didn't answer. The two-leg continued to speak though. "We have to keep her! She'll keep all the mice out!"
The two-leg pup smiled. The older one ran off, and the pup chased after. She gulped as they returned with another two-leg. "Honey? Why's there another dog-" he stopped himself. "Wow! It caught our mouse! We don't have to worry about mice anymore!"
"They must be stupid," she told Jackie.
"Lighten up. They are happy to have you here. I am too," he looked her in the eye.
Mysteryheart looked at the gathered two-legs. "Well, it's best if I be going now."
She felt herself be lifted from the ground. She dropped the mouse in shock. "Let go, you hairy two-leg!" It took her some struggling before biting down hard on the two-leg's paw.
"Ouch! Bad dog!" it said with a wack on her head. "No bites."
Is it serious right now? "Jackie get this thing off me!"
Jackie shook his head. "I'm a bad dog already. I get yelled at enough."
"Can't even lend me a paw?" she asked.
"No I kinda like my paws where they are," he smirked.
Okay. I hope this was long enough! That's another crazy surprise, right? So please, vote and comment!!!
