Mysteryheart

Mysteryheart finally got out of the two-leg's arms. Jackie pressed against one of his house-folk. He was obviously used to being around them.

"Can we keep her?" the two-leg pup squeaked. "She can stay here! Mom, please!"

"No! Never!" Mysteryheart barked to them.

Jackie frowned. "Come on. I'm sure you need to recover those wounds. And look at that stomach! It's as thin as my paw!"

She gritted her teeth. "And you're a fat leash-dog!"

"Come on, we're going to the park," he urged.

"Fine," she decided in a low growl.

The pup interrupted their conversation. "Come here, pup pup!"

Jackie laughed. "I believe that's you."

"Jackie Boy! Come here," another two-leg called.

She slowly went over to the two-legs. They grabbed her by her scruff. She tried to break free from its grip, but it only made it get stronger. The two-legs put something around her neck.

"There. Now you have a collar," the female two-leg sighed.

Collar? Is that what this tight material is? she asked herself. I don't want this on!

For a moment she wanted nothing more then to get the collar off. She didn't care if she was leaving, no. It surprised her. But it was in her blood to not become a leash-dog. She still needed to complete the prophecy that was given to her so long ago.

"Come on, girl," the two-legs called. Jackie was already at there side. She was uncertain.

"Come on, Mystery. It won't be bad, they won't hurt you," he urged. "I'm going. Do you want to be left alone locked in this place?"

Mysteryheart nearly sprinted towards them. "I'm coming!"

"What are we gonna name her, Daddy?" the two-leg pup questioned.

He laughed. "You decide, pumpkin."

Did he just call her a pumpkin? The pup resembles nothing to a pumpkin! How rude! she thought.

"Her name is...." the pup paused in thought. "Brownie!"

The female two-leg laughed. "Brownie? Why's that?"

The pup looked to the floor. "She's got those brown eyes."

Mysteryheart took thought in the name. She growled. "Brownie? That's my name to them, Jackie? What in StarClan's name is a Brownie?"

"House-folk food," he answered as we walked out of the den.

She puffed. "I don't want to resemble to their disgusting food! Just like he called that pup. He called her a pumpkin! Are they out of their minds?"

Jackie looked over at her. "Get over it! It's not like you're staying anyway," the last words to her sounded sad. Like he wasn't looking forward to when she left.

"Um... Actually, I was thinking of staying awhile," she said walking at his side. "Maybe recovering, and get to know you a little better. I think we got off on the wrong paw."
