Ella's PoV
I raced forward with the rest of the class. I felt pain start to grow in my stomach, but I just dismissed it. I had just been kneed in the stomach! Of course it would hurt!
We stayed as a group mainly for the first lap, with the exception of those people who race ahead of everyone, and as the second lap came we started to fan out due to our speed.
Most everyone made a move to get ahead of me, so I ended up being second to last. As the third lap came around, I sped up, racing past everyone who had gone in front of me.
I didn't even realize I had come in first until Ms. Larankee called us to a stop.
"As promised, Ella you get a bag of chocolate an-"
That's all I heard as pain swept through my body. I gasped, falling down, as my bones twisted and broke into weird forms.
I screamed as darkness started clouding my vision, but I refused to let it take me.
My bones kept twisting and turning until I felt a fuzzy feeling buzzing on and under my skin. I looked at my arm, and I saw fur.
Suddenly, the pain left me. I looked at myself, and I was shocked.
My fur was long and silky, while my parents and all my brothers had short and rough fur. But that wasn't the most surprising part.
The part that had everyone's eyes wide was the color of my fur. It was pure white, not even a hair was silver.
'Ella,' a questioning voice was in my head.
I think I know exactly who this was, 'Are you my wolf?'
'Yes. My name is Isis, and I'll be here if you ever need me.'
I realized everyone was staring at me. Oh right, I'm a huge white wolf in the middle of the class talking with my wolf.
We always prepared for stuff like this. I had my mother put the spell she had on her hunter's clothes so I would shift back into them.
Now, how do I shift back...
'Imagine you in your human form and the rest will be instinct.'
'Thank you Isis.'
I pictured myself in my human form with my blonde hair tumbling down my back.
Suddenly, I heard a few more cracks and I was in my human form again.
The few friends I had, the ones who hadn't bullied me, ran up and hugged me.
"El! You shifted!"
I nodded and turned to the person who kneed me in the stomach. "So, am I still going to be here past twenty?"
She studied a rock, "I was just warning you in case you didn't shift."
I snorted while Ms. Larankee told me a few things and finished the prize I was getting.
**********
Sorry it took so long! I've been really busy recently, with family in town and all.
Anyway, next update might be a few days or a few weeks from now. :(
If you don't know what's so special about a white wolf, read the chapter in The Servant Mate that has the flashback in it. I think it may be chapter 14.
Anyways...
