Ella's PoV

Rachel looked shocked I actually stood up for myself. She touched her face where I had hit her and looked at the blood now covering her fingers.

Suddenly, her look of shock turned to one of rage.

"You'll pay for that you-"

She was cut short by Ms. Larankee, "Rachel! Ella! That's enough!"

"But she punche-"

"I said ENOUGH! Both of you are coming with me!"

Oh goddess no.

-(-)-(-)-

Great. A week of no training with Isis. A. WEEK.

I had tried to speak to her, but it was almost as if there was an invisible barrier between us, more powerful than just blocking someone out.

I really didn't want to face my parents. I was sure they would punish me for breaking rules, but the anger just took over!

After classes were over, I told Samantha that I was going for a walk. A long walk. Like a I-probably-wont-be-home-for-dinner-because-I-don't-want-to-face-my-parents kind of walk.

I stood under a tree, still trying to contact Isis, when I realized I wasn't alone. I looked up to see Rachel shooting daggers at me.

I waited for her to speak, but when I realized she wasn't going to I decided to break the silence.

"Why are you here?"

That seemed to snap Rachel out of her haze, because her eyes focused more on me.

"Why do you have to go around acting like because you're the princess, you get special treatment from everyone," she spat at me. "Because of you, I can't join in on practices! I don't deserve the punishment! You do!"

I stood up, my back rigid, my eyes probably black.

"When did I ever act like the snob you think I am? When I fought back? When I showed that I wasn't as weak as you told everyone I was? When people saw you with a bloody face? Or how about when you kneed me in the stomach earlier. What about then? All the times you abused me, was that when I was a snob? Because I sure as heck hope not, or a lot of people would be snobs. You say you didn't deserve the punishment, and that only I did? I think that, if anything, it would be opposite. That was the first time I ever touched you!"

Rachel swung a punch at me, but I quickly spun out of her way. While she looked down to see that there was only dirt on her hand, I got behind her and kicked her in the back. I didn't kick hard enough to hurt her a lot, but enough to knock the wind out of her.

I suddenly realized that Isis was talking to me.

'Ella, you must calm down, or else the other one will come. If that happens, you will be living a very hard life when it comes to your wolf and mate. Please! Calm down!'

'Who is this other one?'

'You don't want to know. You just need t-'

She got cut off as Rachel pushed me to the ground, causing another cloud of hate to blur my vision. I knew Isis couldn't calm me down. It was as if something else was powering my hate.

And once I thought those words, Rachel got up, eyes wide, and fled. I looked at myself and felt anger, hate, and annoyance flowing through me. Suddenly, I heard a familiar popping noise, then excruciating pain.
