Wolf Fight

Chapter 7

Ella's PoV

I stood, shocked, while my mother buried her face into my father's shoulder, tears falling faster than the rain that practically flooded the forest a few days ago.

"Mom, Dad, what's happening?"

They looked up, and I could see relief deep in their eyes.

"Ella! You're safe! Thank the Moon Goddess!"

I pushed my parents away, "Why would I be in danger? I know the forest so well I could walk straight through it blindfolded."

My mother sobbed, "S- some rogues came in a- and took out almost an entire patrol. P- Paul, Peter, Jake and Sam were all on it with Austin, Greg, and Luke. Only Austin got away."

Luke was Samantha's brother, and Austin and Greg were Kayla and Bridget's brothers. But, how did a rogue manage to take down four of my brothers plus my cousin and his friend? They were some of the strongest fighters!

"How many wolves attacked?"

My parents exchanged worried glances before replying, "Two."

My eyes widened.

"How on Earth did TWO people manage to take down some of the BEST FIGHTERS in the kingdom?!"

"We don't know," my mother looked stressed, and then it really dawned on me.

My brothers were gone.

Unknown PoV

"We managed to take down almost all a patrol, but they wouldn't tell us anything."

My leader raised his eyebrows, "Hmm... what did you ask?"

I rolled my eyes. "I went straight to the point. I asked if they knew anyone with that kind of wolf, and they kept repeating 'I don't know! I don't know!' But, we did figure out who it was, and you were right. She does hold a very high position. In fact, Angie and I believe that she knows everyone on the patrol!"

"Perfect. Did you bring them with you?"

I smirked, "Taken care of already. Should I prepare everyone?"

"Yes," he replied. "We must have her as soon as we can."

Ella's PoV

I had gone to my room after the conversation with a sick feeling in my stomach.

I shouldn't have waited to come home! Maybe I could've stopped the patrol!

But it was too late for that. There was no way for me to go back and fix things.

'Ella...'

Wow, both wolves talking together. This could get confusing really fast.

'Yes?'

'We have a really bad feeling,' Iona was the one who replied.

I sighed, 'What type of bad feeling?'

'The bad feeling that your going to have to choose between two things that both have bad outcomes.'

Great. That's just what I needed right now. Note the sarcasm.

'Both of you feel like that?'

'Yes...' Isis sounded worried.

I sighed, 'Well, you're both agreeing on something, so it is probably tr...'

'Ella, could you please come down? We have some visitors.' Well this can't be good. I know the tone that my mom just used, that tone where they're saying I'm not really sure I like this, be prepared.

I got off my bed, not really sure if I should force a happy face on, or just look how I feel. I decided on the second choice. If I knew the people, I might force a happy face, but if not then I'll keep it as a I really don't want to be here face.

I walked down the stairs and spotted two men (by men, I mean two werewolves) sitting on one of the couches in the castle's main room. They both had dark hair and wore white cloaks with light blue beads at the tips.

The somewhat taller one had long hair pulled together with a bead the same color as the ones on the cloak. The other one had short hair and a scar running down from his left ear to the outside edge of his left eye.

When I got down the stairs, the both stood up and bowed to me.

"Hello Cami."

Hello! So I'm going to try and balance my updating schedule between three books!

I have two favors to ask! 1) Could you guys check out my other werewolf story Pain (title's terrible, I know, but I COULD NOT think of anything else)? It's a book I've been thinking about for a few months, but really only recently got around to doing it! 2) Look at my new book Zodiacs; Memories Forgotten? It is ( hopefully) going to be a really good book, and it would mean a lot if you would at least look at it.
