Part 1

People always say that accidents are unexpected and unintentional, that they usually result in damage or  injury but that's not always true. Accidents may have a purpose. Maybe the reason something 'accidentally' happens  is because it was meant to. People say that when you first meet someone there's this spark that tells you they're the one. They say that if someone pops into your life more than once, it's not a coincidence anymore. People say that if someone left you and you see them again, it means you were meant to be a 'thing.' People may say all that but I have never experienced anything like it. I've only ever read it in my favourite book,  'See you again', a classic novel in the genre; Romance. Well actually I lied, I have experienced something like that and it all started with a cup of coffee, but I'm not going to talk about it again.

Anway, my name is Clary and my love for coffee is wordless. Every morning and afternoon, I make sure that I drink one. I never usually drink more than two a day. As I like to say 'a coffee a day keeps the monsters away.' Or in this case, the monster refers to my little sister: Caitlin. She hates coffee, the word itself makes her gag and if I playfully shove it in her face, she'll complain and leave me alone. In stanton Moor Forest, I breathe in the fresh morning air as I slowly but painfully jog on the leaf littered ground beneath the dense canopys. I thought going for a morning run to get a coffee would motivate me but nope now I just feel like throwing up. Beads of sweat cover my forehead and finally being able to see the coffee van; I sigh in consolation  and sprint towards it.

My ginger red hair rests on the back of my neck, created a warm pool of sweat so I brought it to my side and tie my hair into a messy bun. First in line, I look up at the woman serving the coffee, intensely biting my lip to stop myself from laughing. Her pink hair looks like she just woke up, it's the perfect resemblance of a bird's nest. By the looks of it, she couldn't be bothered fixing her makeup. Her mascara was smudged down on her cheekbone and her lipstick streaks across her chin. "Hey what can I get you?" She grumbles. "Hi, can I just get a small cappuccino with two sugars please?" I smile up at her. When she returns a smile, I snort as the piercing in her mouth pulls in an unfamiliar motion. As she took the money from me, her hair flopped forward and I slapped both hands over my mouth trying to cease my laughter. By the time she handed me my coffee I was in tears. "Are you alright?" She asks. In between laughter and deep gasps I say, "Yeah I just thought of a really funny joke," I took the coffee from her, "You know the typical jokes that you always laugh about after you've heard it like twenty times, it's crazy." "Yeah that's funny, I suppose." She shrugs so I turn to leave. I constantly look back at her, with my laughter filling the silence of the wind.
