Part 2
Still looking back, someone bumped into me causing me to lose my footing. I toppled to the ground with my coffee spilt down my shirt and a body holding itself above mine. My eyes travelled to the face of my bumper and I almost fainted at that split second. The young man, my age, has blond hair with twinkling hazel eyes and a mischievous smirk. "Well Clary Fraie, never did I think we would meet again like this " "Well how lucky am I , it's Jace Wayland." I roll my eyes. "Come on, this can't be a coincidence. How can we be at the same place at the same time, doesn't that usually only happen in romance movies?" Jace says, looking into my eyes, I groan before saying, "Just get up please." Jace pushes himself up, offering a hand to me which I take, quickly thanking him. "I'm really sorry about that." He points to the coffee stain on my shirt and the empty cup in my hand. "Really Jace, it's fine." I grind my teeth throwing my cup into the bin. "Let me make it up to you, I'll buy you another coffee. What was it, a cappuccino with two sugars?" His eye twinkled with pride, how did he remember my order? The last time I told him was four months ago. With no idea what to say I awkwardly nod.
"Here you go." He hands me my coffee and I thank him. As soon as I notice that he was staying, I sigh "Don't you have somewhere else to be? I mean you were walking that way before you bumped into me," I pointed the way of the coffee van. "No, I'll stay for a bit I want to catch up with you, it's been a long time." He drags me to a steel table where we sit down. Mumbling, I hesitantly sit next to him, "Well lucky me." "So how's life?" He asks. "Good." I bluntly respond. Honestly I could have left by now if I wasn't such a people pleaser. I can't say no to people, it's one of my weaknesses. "Are you still angry at me about that thing?" He puts his cup down with a thud on the table and I gulp.
"What's your favourite series on netflix?" I blurt out, snorting as I blush looking down at my feet under the table. Jace snorts before responding, "Shadowhunters, the mortal instructions," he shifts to face me, "it's really good actually. The way the series sets out the plot. Each episode is full on and always filled with some sort of mystery. Oh! When Alec almost died, I cried. It was way too emotional. And honestly Magnus Bane, ugh, why did he have to be gay.. I kind of wanted Clara to get with Alec but no Magnus had to kiss him! " Eyes wide, I raise an eyebrow, "Yeah I guess. The fact that Valentine lied to his children saying they were siblings when they really weren't made things so awkward. I mean they loved each other in the couple kind of way and as soon as Valentine said that everything changed. He's the antagonist, I hate him." Something clicked in my head and I spoke up quickly, "Oh and how Magnus was afraid to love Alec because he was afraid of losing him so he left him without an explanation. Then how he returned one day still with no explanation and no apology, that really put me off." Jace frowns, "Hey that wasn't in the series, you made that up!" "Exactly Jace, that's what happened with us! Worst of all is you coming back with nothing but a cup of coffee for me!" I bellow in vexation. "Or the mortal cup." He winks and I groan in frustration, "Jace stop talking about Shadowhunters, this is serious!"
