"I'll take a root beer and the burger and fries" I say to the short plump waitress taking our order.

After the tour Wes took me back to the office and fangirled over Spencer. Spencer was thrilled that his legacy of the most pranks in one semester was still being told after all these years, he held the record and nobody's come even close to beating it.

Once I finally separated them from each other, Spencer started to drive me home before he pulled into the parking lot of Kate's a little diner that our family would go to all the time before we moved.

After the waitress took our orders so sauntered off to get our drinks and Spencer leaned on his forearms as he clasped his hands together and stared at me.

"What?"

"What happened earlier?"

I knew he would drop it, I didn't really expect him to, it was his protective big brother that wouldn't leave it alone.

"Nothing I told you."

"Lacey, stop lying to me and just tell me"

I sigh and lay my head on my hand.

"Fine, Jonas and I had a teeny tiny spat. It wasn't even a spat but I left after he had told me some things and I got pissed off. It's really not a big deal, I can handle it."

"What did he tell you?"

"Victoria said that she was pregnant. Jonas went to break everything off with her and he couldn't do it when he found out. He didn't want to abandon his kid."

"Is it even his? I mean if she's been sleeping around so much how does he know?"

"He doesn't, and I asked him that same question. And all he could say is 'Vikki said it was' but I don't get how he could believe her just like that after all the lies and secrets she's kept from him. Not to mention that she cheated!"

Spencer stays silent for a moment as if contemplating what to say to me.

"You know, maybe you should try and get him to take a test on the baby."

"He won't do that"

"How do you know if you haven't asked him?"

"Because he's Jonas, he's to stubborn to even think that baby isn't his. He always believes and sees the good in everyone. That's his problem. He won't believe that she's lying to him."

"I don't know Lace."

"I'm sorry I know he's your best friend. But he's a idiot sometimes"

Spencer laughs as he leans back in the booth.

"Yes he is, but we all are at one point. All I can tell you is this. I've seen him and Vikki for the last three years and I haven't seen him smile or look as happy as he is when you're around him. As much as it kills me to say this because you're my baby sister. But you're a great match for him, and I can tell that he cares about you a lot. So don't sweat it Lace, it'll all work out. He'll get his head out of his ass eventually, and if he doesn't then you can bet I'll whip him into shape"

"Thanks Superman, you're the best" I say with a smile

He returns the smile.

"I know. I'm the best big brother in the world. You know you love me"

"Hmmmm maybe if you buy me some dessert then you'll be the best big brother and I'll love you forever!"

"Slick. Nice one Lace."

I stick my tongue out at him as the waitress comes back with our food.

"Is there anything else I can get for ya?" She asks
