Ep.10

Ding dong.

"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" Joshua opens the door surprised.

"Papa!" Eon jumps up in his arms.

"Hey-yah pumpkin! How was school?"

"It was good, i lost a tooth!" She points to her now exposed gums.

"Oh wow," He acts impressed, "Better keep that under your pillow for the tooth fairy."

My heart sings with pride and joy at our misshapen family, and i can feel Seoks happiness radiating from him.

"Ma invited us over for dinner." I tell Joshua.

"Come on in then." He caries Eon inside and we follow them.

We walk in and i can smell fresh seolleongtang being cooked.

We all take our shoes off and set them by the front door.

Seok sits in the living room with Joshua and Eon. He sets Eons pink backpack on the coffee table.

"Seokah~ can u help Onie with her homework?" I ask taking off my coat and hanging on the coat rack.

"No problem, jagi." He smiles.

"Im going to go see Ma." I say already half way to the kitchen, Cagh follows me.

I walk in and i see Ma cooking. She has her hair up in a bun and is wearing a cute blue apron with orange stripes.

She has her small portable radio on. She nods her head to the music and i laugh a little.

She turns quickly at the sudden laugh. She calms once she sees me, "Nani-ah! You just about gave me a heart attack."

"Sorry Ma." I laugh a little and i walk to her.

She meets me in a firm hug.

"How's my sweeties?" She smiles and pats my stomach before turning back to the food.

"We're doing good," i laugh, "how are you Ma?"

"Better now that you guys are here." She smiles.

"Did something happen?"

"No, i was fine before you got here, im just extremely happy now." She smiles wide.

I smile back, "Do you need any help?"

"No! You just sit there and keep me a little company." she points to the table and smiles.

I do not argue because i learned the hard way before that Ma always wins an argument.

"How are we supposed to get him to drink out of a coffee cup," i laugh, "At dinner?"

"I knew that you would ask that Nani." She walks to the cupboard where she hid the cup yesterday.

She pulls out a box and a movie. She hands them to me and gets back to finishing dinner.

"It's a wonderful life? Ma, this is a Christmas movie." I laugh even harder when i see the box of hot coco she set before me.

"And?"

"Its almost summer Ma." I laugh.

She only shrugs,"Since when was it illegal to watch Christmas movies in summer?"

"Okay." I laugh and put the box and movie back in the cupboard. I see the glass coffee cup in the cupboard, now out of its bag.

We all sit around the dinner table and eat, and talk about our day. Ma went shopping.... again. That's how she got the coco and the movie.

Joshua went to work, though he still hasn't said what his job is.
