The day had come and Bridie was calm. She could feel Mika mentally shitting himself from next to her and she looked over at him, giving him a kind smile.
"I want you to promise me something," Mika approached Bridie near the tree she was leaning against as the rest of the vampires gathered around the bonfire that Benjamin had lit to listen to Vladimir and Stefan's story.
"Which is?" Bridie asked watching Renesmee, Villanelle and Bella talk inside a tent. She turned to him and smiled.
"Forgive her." Mika said simply. "I never told you this but my mate died decades ago and I would kill if I could have an opportunity to still be with her."
"What're you saying?" Bridie asked and Mika took her hand in his.
"I'm saying I'm letting you go," He sucked in a deep breath. "You need to be happy with Villanelle– I can tell you want to; you crave to be with her and to be happy." Mika replied. She nodded slowly.
"I'm sorry about your mate, what was she like?" Mika thought for a second, watching the hybrid child grow tired and eventually fall asleep.
"She was like Villanelle; she wanted the best for me. Villa wants the best for you Bridie and I know she can give it to you." Mika let Bridie's hand go as Villanelle walked over and he left with a kind smile and a wave to listen to the Russian vampires story.
"If we live through this, I'll follow you anywhere, woman." Garrett's voice bought Bridie out of her thoughts.
"Now you tell me." Kate replied. Villanelle and Bridie looked at each other, holding tightly onto their hands as the Volturi army could be heard making their way closer to the Cullen's and their witnesses.
"The Redcoats are coming! The Redcoats are coming!" Bridie refused to smile and suddenly Aro and his army become visible.
"They outnumber us by a shit-tone." Bridie mumbled looking at Carlisle and Esme who were less than a few metres away from Villanelle and Mika.
"Aro's looking for Alice." Edward muttered to Bella and he caught Bridie's nervous eye. Do you think she'll show? Edward nodded and smiled softly. Yeah I believe so too. Bridie turned her head back to Aro's army who were approaching quickly. The wolves howled and started to weave themselves through the crowd of the Cullen's and their witnesses, Sam in his wolf form stood next to Bridie. Caius and the vampire made eye contact and she smirked seeing him scowl. His face quirked into a small sadistic smile once they all stopped in a straight line parallel to Renesmee's witnesses. Bridie's eyes trailed along the front row, seeing powerful and important vampires stand with Aro and he squeezed Villanelle's hand tightly, her eyes connecting with Louis'.
"Aro, Iet us discuss things as we used to. In a civilized manner." Carlisle stepped forward. Bridie could sense the tension in thei air without even needing to use Jaspers gift. Her eyes refused to leave her brothers and he smirked in such a wicked way she were sure he was planning something big.
