I was heading back to the damned house. At this point, I gave up on trying to even have hope. I grumbled as I could practically feel the smirk on the asshole's face as he carried me, once again, through the forest. When we broke the clearing for the little town that we had passed earlier, it was extremely deserted.
"What, did some kind of apocalypse happen?" I asked, squirming to get down from his hard and uncomfortable shoulders.
"So you readily believe that zombies are real, but not wolves?" He chuckled, shaking his head. I smiled as the memory of me playing Cod zombies with my older brother and mom late nights and early mornings, but quickly pushed the memories out before the bad ones came. He must've noticed my change in attitude because he put me Down and grabbed my chin so that I was looking at him.
"I'm fine." I stated, leaving no room for questions. I had my eyes glued to the floor as I walked back in the direction of his house, just wanting to curl up under some blankets and sleep my life away. I didn't hear his footsteps until I had made it like five steps ahead of him. He caught up and we walked side by side, me trying to put distance in between us and him closing it, much to my dismay. I sighed before giving up on trying. When his house came in to view, my heart started beating fast. Despite the feeling of a panic attack, I laughed. Giovoni looked at me puzzled.
"What was that?" His voice seemed to wrap around my eardrums, making them strain just to hear every rise and fall of his voice.
"Nothing. It's just that every time I think I'm getting away from here, I end up right back here." Giovoni's eyes darkened at my words before he grabbed me and turned me to face him. I stared at him in boredom, hoping that his egotistical laced speech or declaration didn't take long.
"And who's fault is that?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Uh, yours." I said laughing, turning back towards the house, only to be stopped again. I looked at him, eyebrows raised, a faint smirk on my face. He looked as if he had a couple of fuses in danger of blowing.
"I have a proposal for you." He gritted out.
"No thanks." I said, snorting as I turned towards the house once again. Something in me snapped when his hand found its way back around my wrist again. I turned at him, glaring the hardest I have ever glared. I was NOT In the mood for this bullshit.
"What the fuck do you want?!" I shouted, crossing my arms, tremors shooting through my body. I felt the anger fighting its way to the surface. It was like a pot of cold water, coming to a boil.
"What do I want. WHAT DO I WANT!?" He bellowed, causing my heart to skip a couple of beats. I swear, if the moon could move, I'm sure it would've. I wanted nothing more than to move. But there was this thin line of nerve making me stay, my anger finding its way Back to the surface.
"I WANT MY MATE to STOP acting LIKE a GODDAMNED CHILD and ACCEPT WHAT WE ARE!" He heaved, his chest rising up and down. "Why must you be so fucking difficult? I'm really trying Tsar, and I mean really fucking trying, and you seem to not care. At least show me that you are trying." He said, taking a step towards me, hands reaching for me. You know when you leave a pot of boiling water, it eventually boils over. It was like everything happened in slow motion. I laughed, before stopping and laughing again.
"Oh, so you want me to just accept it huh? Well, you my dear stranger," I purred, putting an emphasis on the words deer stranger, "is just gonna have to go and fuck yourself. I am not, and will never "just accept" this bullshit . Yes, I know that I am a wolf and you are a wolf. I've just found out like what, a couple of hours ago? Do you think this is easy to process?" I laughed, again before shaking my head, mumbling to myself.
"I understand that you are confused, as well as shocked. But just let me help you understand." He said, taking another step towards me.
"I DONT WANT YOUR FUCKING HELP!" I shouted, just as loud as him. All I wanted was to sleep. That's all. Another tremor shot through my body, causing my fingers to stretch in different directions, and me to let out shaky breaths. He must've noticed this one, because he held his hands up in surrender.
"Hey, look, just calm down." He was now speaking softly. My head snapped to him in disbelief. He looked at me confused, and then recognition clouded his eyes.
"Calm down. Calm down? Yea Tsar, just calm down. No biggie, right?" I asked myself laughing as yet another tremor shot through me. Giovoni took another step towards me, and to both of our surprises, I growled a low and slow warning growl. His eyes were as bright as the moon as he stared at me so intensely I could swear he could see my organs. I covered my mouth with my hand, but it was quickly tugged. His scent hit me harder than ever, causing me to go light headed. I looked up and gasped. We were basically sharing air at our proximity. He looked down on me with something foreign burning in his eyes. I tried to take steps back, but he grabbed my waist trapping me. I grabbed his arm in a feeble effort to move his vice like grip, but was greeted with small electrical shocks. I gasped and quickly withdrew my hand, but he grabbed them with his massive ones, causing tingles to tip toe down my spine, the hairs on the back of my neck raising.
"Do you feel that, Tsar?" He asked, dragging his fingers leisurely up and down my arms, causing me to shiver under his touch.
"This is proof." He said, sliding his hand under my, Well, his shirt, his fingers joining the tingles on my spine. It was like the air became ten times heavier. Or maybe it was my chest. All I knew, was that I was under some kind of spell, and he seemed to be the caster.
"Ask me proof of what." He commanded, his voice seemed to make me meet his eyes.
"P-proof of w-what?" I whispered, my voice coming out cracked. He buried his head in the crook of my neck, breathing in my scent as if I was his oxygen.
"It's proof that you belong to me." He breathed in my neck and I gasped at the foreign feeling that was settling in the pits of my stomach. I saw my violet eyes looking back at me through his, causing me to snap back to reality. Which was him. Me. Us? I shook my head slightly, the trees and his house coming back to focus. I looked Back At Giovoni, who was watching me carefully. I opened my mouth to say something, but closed it instead. I couldn't trust myself to speak right now. I walked past him in the direction of the house, lost in thoughtw. I didn't fail to notice how the nights temperature was nipping at me, seeming to get colder the farther away from him I got. I clambered on to the porch, stopping to look back at him, only to find that his eyes never left me. I turned and opened the door, turning to see it he was coming, but when I turned around, the huge black do- wolf. The huge black wolf stood where human Giovoni used to be. I couldn't take my eyes from him. His eyes growled an incredible scarlet, them being the only thing decipherable in the night. He shook his head at me and turned to tear through the woods. Just as I was closing the door, I heard one long howl. I didn't need to guess who it was. But what surprised me was the melodic sounds as slowly, howl after howl joined in. I smiled a grateful smile before going to the room that was prepared for me. I made a mental note to thank him when he got back for giving me space. I trudged to the bed, sighing in content when the mattress seemed to welcome me with open arms.
