I awoke to a bright flash. I tried to get up, but for some reason my body was restricted. I propped my self up on my elbows to see a very heavy and sleeping Giovoni. I looked in confusion before the memories of yesterday crashed into my head like a train wreak. I looked over at Yazmine to see that she was still fast asleep as well. I looked around for the source of the flash to see a woman who looked to be in her mid 30's, Auburn hair in nice thick curls just past her elbows. I looked at her confused, only to he met with a pair of sparkling grey eyes. Was she his mother?
"Shhh." She winked at me and I nodded slowly. Before I could process anything else, she screamed to the top of her lungs, causing me, Giovoni, and Yazmine to jump up. The bright flash went through the room once more as I squinted my eyes. The woman was laughing hysterically, looking at the pictures on the camera.
"Dammit mamma!" Giovoni growled out, sighing before standing, pulling me up with him. Yazmine's anger quickly faded upon hearing her mother's name, for she squealed and ran to her mother, almost tackling her to the ground.
"You're Back! Now we can go shopping!" Yazmine squealed, jumping up and down.
"Yes we can." Her mother said, pulling the girl to her chest. I watched with a smile on my face as Giovoni pulled her into him, kissing her forehead. I tried to sneak away to give them a moment, but Giovoni grabbed my elbow, and my stomach decided to introduce itself, rumbling viciously. I blushed furiously as his mother looked at me chuckling, though I knew she was curious.
"Hi, I'm Jessebella." She shook my hand politely, giving it a gentle squeeze.
"I like your name, I'm Tsar." I squeezed her hand back.
"I think I like your name better." She said said laughing.
"So Tsar, you and my son huh?" She asked, piercing eyes darting between me and Giovoni. "Can't say I'm a little disappointed that you're giving up on finding your mate, but I tend to not judge off of situations, so welcome to the family." She said, smiling genuinely. I couldn't help but look at the woman in awe and admiration. But all that was cut short when Giovoni was next to me, pulling me into his chest. Not that I was complaining.
"Mom." Was all he said, before he dipped his head into the crook of my neck, lightly biting it. I nearly buckled under him, but his arm snaked around my waist, pushing me into him. I didn't need to look to know that both of our eyes were glowing. Yazmine and Jessebella looked at the scene, realization slowly dawning on them. A moment passed before both of them screamed to the top of their lungs.
"Hai trovato il tuo amico e non me l'hai detto?!" His mother screeched, pulling me from him and into a tight, rib crushing hug.
"I knew I liked her better than the others!" Yazmine hugged my leg just as tight. A pang of jealousy coursed through me as I managed to pull from Jessebella's tight embrace.
"Others?!" I screeched, Giovoni rubbing the back of his head, causing me to growl. Jessebella laughed, while Yazmine mumbled a oops before running off somewhere.
"Oh I have to go break the news to your father, stay here, don't go anywhere!" She rushed out of the house screaming Frank. I turned to Giovoni, who was looking everywhere else but at me. I marched to him, standing directly in front of him before stopping, tapping my foot.
"So how many others are we talking here?" I asked sweetly, brushing lint from his shoulders. He tensed at my touch, still avoiding eye contact.
"Three." Was his short answer. I grabbed his chin, forcing him to look at me.
"You didn't sound so sure." I raised an eyebrow and watched as his eyes slowly dragged to mine.
"I promise you." He said, tucking a stray hair behind my ear.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't be mad over past situations." I mumbled, taking a step back. He groaned before pulling me back into his chest.
"You have every right to be." He whispered into my ear. "But since you asked, it's only fair I can as well." He said, cupping my chin and making my eyes meet his.
"One." I said, noticing his eyes darkening. I raised an eyebrow at him, and he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.
"We'll have story time later." He said opening his eyes and smiling. "I have to know all about it." I chuckled, pushing away from him. I looked to the door as I heard Jessebella yelling excitedly at Frank. She crossed the threshold, dragging a very big man in behind her. You could easily tell that he was letting her though. She stopped a few feet from me, holding Frank's hand. Giovoni was the spitting image of his father. The only thing that even hinted that Jessebella was his mother was their eyes. They both were similar in height, both had the same muscular physique. I could put money that if I had seen a picture of a younger Frank, they'd be twins. Frank had black eyes while Giovoni was the polar opposite.
"So this is the wolf your tide too for life eh?" Frank asked, eyes sparkling.
"I got lucky didn't I?" Giovoni said, his dad pulling him into that manly hug that men do, patting (more like punching) each other's back.
"I guess luck runs through the family." Frank winked at a blushing Jessebella.
"Tell me darling, do you know how to shoot a gun?" He asked, turning to me. I couldn't stop the smile from spreading my lips at the excitement weapons brought me.
"I hope the day never comes where you'll have to find out." I laughed out. All of their jaws hit the floor in shock.
"Well now you have to come to the shooting range with me! I hate being the only female in there." Jessebella said, pouting.
"Are there no other girls in this pack that shoot? I mean, this also doubles as a mafia." I stated, looking between Giovoni and his mother.
"Oh those ladies are prissy. They're more Afraid of chipping a nail than loosing their lives." She rolled her eyes.
"And besides, their mostly air heads." Frank mumbled.
"So mate, what else can you do?" Giovoni asked, enjoying the exposure of my new found secrets. Yazmine came in, stuffed wolf back in her hand holding her tummy.
"Momma I'm hungry." She whined, and on cue, my stomach rumbled once again, angry at being ignored.
"She cooks." Giovoni smiled, winking at me.
"So she has cooked for you?" Jessebella asked, sizing me up.
"Oh this is gonna be good." I walked past Giovoni towards the kitchen, patting his shoulder. "Why don't you tell them how we met, mate." I laughed as his eyes got wide.
"Yes that would be lovely, but are you sure you don't want any help Tsar? I'm quite magical in the kitchen myself." She stood to join me when I stopped her.
"Oh no, you're gonna wanna hear this." I couldn't keep the smile off my face.
"Well lets take this party to the kitchen, that way we can multitask." Giovoni, who thought he'd get away, put his hands in his head, glaring at me.
"Sounds like plans to me." I smiled at her, before turning to wink at Giovoni. I guess you could say I was about to stir some pots, and based off of his mother so far, I knew he was gonna be in for a huge scolding. His father, not so much.
