Ok so I was totally wrong about the not being that hard part.
"You can't stay in there forever!" One of the humans shouted pounding on the bathroom door.
"Why not? I have drinking water!" I shouted, looking around for a weapon.
"Yo, you think she's a wolf?" One of the men said, thinking I couldn't hear them.
"The hell you askin me for? I'm not the one with the sniffer." The other responded.
"Fucking idiots, move." A harsh voice commanded.
"Open up darling, we just wanna talk." The wolf said, knocking on the door. I frowned at the door before noticing the window that was near the shower curtain. I stood and walked towards it, easing it open.
"Then talk to each other." I called out, stealthily slipping through the window and shutting it back. I inched back into the house quietly. The fucking idiots left the door open. I watched as the men finally busted down the door.
"What kind of game is this?!" The wolf shouted. I tip toed into the kitchen, going straight for the drawer that held Giovoni's impressive kitchen knives. I grabbed four before tip toeing towards the kitchen table. I got down on my knees, looking under the table. I let out a small victory scream when I saw the gun that was tapped to the bottom of the table where he always sits. I quickly tucked it into my waist band of the shorts I had on under Giovoni's shirt before picking up a glass cup and turning on the water loudly. I listened as the three pairs of footsteps thundered towards the kitchen. I leaned against the counter, eyebrows raised at the three men, who looked at me in bewilderment.
"You a witch?" One of the men said.
"I could be some days." I said grinning at them.
"Do we just shoot her Kenan?" The other boy asked, pulling out his gun and cocking it back.
"No. There's a reason she's here." Kenan said eyeing me carefully.
"That's cute that you actually think that you could even shoot me." I tsked them all before lightly shaking my head, setting the glass down next to me and crossing my arms. One of the men shot the glass, causing me to raise my eyebrows.
"She didn't even flinch." The other boy said, slapping the one who shot the gun in the back of the head.
"Next one won't miss lady." The boy said, running the back of his head.
"You're right, it won't." I said before quickly throwing two knives at the humans. I sighed in satisfaction when I heard the knives thud as they hit their foreheads. Kenan looked at me amused.
"Well this just got interesting." The ginger wolf said, taking menacing steps towards me.
"Very. Why are you teaming up with the humans?" He stopped and raised an eyebrow up at me mockingly.
"Why are you here?" He asked, coming to the other side of the island.
"I asked first." I crossed my legs and glared at the man.
"Yea? Well I don't care." His blue eyes curved up with a grin. My eyes snapped to his feet when I saw that they were moving towards me.
"Don't come any closer." I warned, taking a small step back.
"Don't tell me what to do." He said, taking another step mockingly. I raised my eyebrows before shrugging my shoulders and throwing the other knife in to his foot.
"Why you-" He said, taking another step, hands stretched for me. As soon as his uninjured foot hit the ground, I threw the last knife in that one too.
"Oh you're gonna regret that." He said, lunging towards me at incredible speed, despite the knives in his feet. I knew I didn't have time to react, but my body had other plans. It was as if I was being controlled, my body being pulled to the side, causing Kenan to crash into the counter. Before either of us could process it, my hands were grabbing his head, slamming it into the black marble counter. His hands instantly went for his head, while I was still in a mild shock. Kenan threw his head back, grunting in pain, but before he could recover, my hands grabbed the back of his neck, pulling him down to meet my knee. He fell onto the floor growling. I covered my gaping mouth with my hands.
"I am so sorry! I don't know what happened!" I saw that he was bleeding, and I immediately went to help him.
"Tsar, up."
I stood rooted to the spot, turning around to see a very naked and very angry Giovoni. I quickly turned back around, covering my eyes as quickly as I could. But I knew it was too late. This picture was permanent, and I'm sure I'd see it every time I blink. He was a man alright.
"You, you could've warned me!" I said blindly.
"What'd you expect?" I jumped at how close he sounded.
"What is there to expect?" Kenan said chucking from the ground.
I almost laughed with him, until I heard the sound of bones breaking and Kenan yelling in agony, followed by low growls. The kitchen was now quite, ignoring Kenans shouts of course.
"You did this?" I felt his breath on my neck and didn't dare turn around. At least I knew he was behind me.
"They sure as hell didn't." I mumbled, relaxing a bit after I heard him chuckle.
"This mafia business might just be for you." He whispered in my ear. I quickly took a huge step forward so that I was out of his grip.
"Dude on the floor? Two dead bodies? Sounds like something we should focus on, don't you agree?" I said hurriedly, looking every where else except in his direction.
"I'm sure you know my name princess." Kenan chuckled before coughing. I heard another crack followed by more screams and growls.
"Answer me this, why did she apologize for harming me but not the two dead humans with knives sticking out of their foreheads." Kenan smirked, and my eyes quickly got wide. My eyes darted to Giovoni who was royally pissed.
"Well you better thank her because she's the only reason you're alive. If only she hadn't killed the others." He walked towards me, and I took a step back, causing him to growl and me to freeze.
"Derick." Giovoni said, nose to nose with me. I didn't dare break eye contact as I heard the door open.
"Take him to Hades. And I want him alive when I get there." Giovoni was staring at me intensely.
"Ooh, hades, can't say I haven't been there." Kenan said chuckling from the floor.
"Oh it ain't a place cupcake." Derick said. When the door slammed shut, the tension in the room grew like wild fire. The sudden movement of his head caused me to jump. I tensed when his lips met my neck, a small shiver running down my spine.
"Why must you insist on disobeying me?" He said lowly.
"Hypothetically speaking, I'm not a pet." I tried to take a step back, but his hand wrapped around my waist, pulling me into him.
"Have you ever thought that I did what I did to protect you?" I laughed before breaking from his grip.
"That's gonna be kind of hard for someone who isn't even trying to protect themselves." As soon as the words left my mouth, I instantly regretted them.
"You what?!" He bellowed, grabbing my arms and pulling me back in to him. "Talk. Now. Don't think I haven't been noticing your attempts at putting this off." I could tell that he was hurting. He was hurting because he didn't know anything about me. He was hurting because he couldn't control me. I knew what kind of guy he was off rip, and I'm sure being controlling helps when running a mafia and werewolf pack.
Dominant. He's dominating.
Well, he'll figure out that I can't be tamed. After he saw that I was quiet, he raised his eyebrows at me, but I just kept my expression blank.
"So after I've told you everything about us and our kind, mates, you're still gonna ignore this? Ignore me?!" His chest was heaving and his breathing ragged. I studied him, but said nothing.
"DAMMIT TSAR!" He growled, sending his fist through a wall. "Communication works both ways you know. Why are you not trying? I'm tired of not knowing a damned thing!" He stopped pacing and looked at me before laughing and shaking his head.
"You know, any other mate couple could tell you anything about each other. Us? I know as much information on you as the next person."
"And that's all you'll know." I said before walking past him.
"Don't even think of leaving." He growled out. I stopped, my hands on the railing of the stairs.
"When I do decide to leave, you'd know. And you couldn't stop me." I took the stairs two at a time. Surprisingly I wasn't angry. I was tired. Somber. I should've skipped town that fateful night. The hall was dark, the only thing bright were the walls which were illuminating my violet eyes. I walked to the hidden door and pushed it open. I hurriedly got a still sleeping Yazmine and carried her to my room, tucking her in. After making sure she was nice and comfortable, I sat in front of the wall window. I saw him reflecting from the glass. He stood in the door and said not a word. He silently looked at me, as was I, violet eyes reflecting from the window.
"She's agitated." His steady voice breathed life into the dead silent room. I knew he was talking about my wolf. I stayed quiet though. Giovoni let out a deep sigh before pushing off the threshold to leave.
"Teach me how to shift." I said, listening as I heard his feet stop moving.
"Tomorrow." Was all he said before he shut the door.
