"Just place that right there." I say, pointing to the spot by the window. The movers place the couch on the direction I pointed to, squaring it towards where the tv was.

My father came over with a tow truck to bring my car, and stayed to help move stuff in. He also asked Derek to come, but he was coming in his own car and hadn't got here yet. When he did come, I have him a big hug and felt tears brim my eyes. The guilt wouldn't ever leave me, no matter what Derek said to me.

"I've missed you." Derek murmurs in my ear, and I give a light laugh.

"I missed you too." I hadn't seen Derek in almost a week. We had been in a rush with everything, and he didn't want to get in the way.

He pulled away first, his bright hazel eyes glancing into mine. A small smile formed on his lips and I smile back, turning to where my father was placing a table by the couches. We finished placing down the basics and it was too late for the movers to continue, so they left for the day.

November comes out of the bedroom to the left, his hair in place instead of the usual messy look he mastered. It made me sad, I enjoyed that look. Probably because I was just so used to it...

Derek went up to him, making him almost jump in surprise.

"Hey man." He had to kind of tilt his head up to look into November's eyes, which I thought was hilarious.

November glanced down towards the voice, instantly a smile forming on his face. "Hi, Derek."

I was glad it wasn't awfully awkward, but it still wouldn't be open arms. After all, I had left Derek in the dust for him...

My father spoke, breaking the silence. "Hazel, I thought we could stay for dinner and Derek could fix his special spaghetti recipe." He walked up to me and gave me a side hug, smiling towards Derek and November. Part of the reason I had loved Derek so much was that he was the best cook ever. His mother taught him at a very young age, and ever since then he has grown superbly at the skill to the point of completely mastering anything that was thrown at him.

"S-Sure." I glance towards November, who was staring directly at me with such intensity it made me shiver in my spot. I blush slightly, folding my arms over my stomach. I did want to hang out with my father and Derek, just to remember old times, but at the same time I was afraid to. I had moved on long ago back in the cellar, and ever since then I was never the same.

"Awesome, I can drop by the store really fast and grab the stuff for it." He motions towards Derek. "Want to stay here? I think I remember what you use."

Derek shrugged. "Fine by me. I'll stay here and hang out."

I stare at my feet for a few seconds. This was probably going to be different...

My father grabbed his keys and headed back out with a simple goodbye, leaving us in an awkward silence. I walk up to Derek, who silently edged his way to one of the couches by the window.

"So, how's the week been?" I start, trying to make conversation. The a/c turned on, suddenly making me shiver-- and I wrap my arms around my chest from the cold.
