If you at all get terribly confused in this chapter, just let me know! I'm adding tons of stuff to other characters backgrounds and stuff to get each one of them on their own track for the story so take a breather!(;
Comment your questions on the paragraph it's located on, or if you just want to comment for fun that's fine too(: also let me know if you liked this chapter, I don't know if I did that well on it. Let me know if I should also do more of these types of chapters, or just stick to Hazel and November(:

Savell gently put the wet rag over my head while I slowly exhaled and exhausted breath. Sweat came in small, slow drops on my skin and I internally wanted to rip the sheets off the bed and sit in a freezer, but I didn't have any energy left inside me.
"I'm going to go get you some cold water, okay?" Savell says, replacing her hand on the rag on my forehead to mine. "Keep that on your forehead."
She leaves the room, locking it behind her and leaving me to wish I could crawl into a hole and die. I had suddenly caught a fever in the night, and ever since then it's got worse. When she had last checked my temperature it had read over 101 degrees.
I let out a ragged breath and slowly peeled away the covers with my legs. I don't know what sparked my sudden illness, but whatever it was needed to be tamed fast. I couldn't sit around while November might be paying a cost for it.
Savell came back a few minutes later with a delicious looking glass of water, and I gulped it down the minute she handed it to me.
I flinched when her hand soothingly rubbed my arm, a small affectionate smile covering her face. It was odd she was treating me like this, especially since she was the one that took me, but right now I couldn't argue. I'd rather have this than someone like Harrison.
There was a moment of silence as Savell gently rubbed my arm in soothing swirls before she spoke again. "I have to run a few errands before dinnertime, so in the meantime Kaleb will take care of you if you need anything." She took the empty glass out of my hand and set it on the counter beside my bed.
My heart dropped in my chest, and I opened my mouth to protest but she put a finger over my lips. "You need to rest, don't argue. I'll be back before sundown, it won't be long, okay?"
I reluctantly nod and sink my head into the pillow. I wish I had a washcloth to wipe the sweat that was probably making puddles on the pillowcase that was behind my neck.
"I need something cold." I exhale, my voice in a croak. Savell hushes me, her blue eyes scanning over my skinny frame.
"Your body is just trying to fight off the flu, dear. Ice is only going to stop the blood from flowing where it needs to." Savell coos, and I start to close my eyes as a wave of exhaustion flows over me. I hadn't got a wink of sleep last night.
She reminded me of my mother strangely, but she was almost the opposite of her. While she had blue eyes, my mother had green, and while she had blonde hair, my mother had brown. Almost a replica of myself.
The washcloth that was on my forehead is removed and dabbed at my neck carefully.
"Go to sleep," A voice whispers by my ear. I take it into command, and slowly fall into a soothing sleep, unaware that someone might just be on the other side of that door waiting to be released.

My senses are awoken by the smell of fresh bacon and eggs as I walk into the kitchen. Savell stood over the stove, humming a tune as she prepped the bacon on the pan while tending to the scrambled eggs.
