Five days later
Alex Stone
It's the charity tonight.
It starts in three hours and I feel as if I'm going to have a panic attack.
"Alex calm down." Liam laughs as he watches me pace the basement.
"I can't calm down. I haven't felt like this since... since never." I say as clench and unclench my hands.
"Then why are you feeling like this?" Liam asks and that makes me stop, frozen to the spot.
"I can't say." My voice barely audible but Liam manages to hear it anyway.
"Don't think I don't notice the way you act around Lillian. I know it has something to do with her. Come on bro. You can tell me." Liam says as he walks to stand in front of me.
Glancing around to make sure it was just us I sigh. "Fine. Yes it's Lillian. She is the one person who I ever wanted to stay yet she's the only one who's ever left. I tried to find her. I looked everywhere. But for almost 2 years she had disappeared completly. When she came back and the movie was released I couldn't handle it. She was staring as the lead female in a romance movie. I couldn't bring myself to see her with another man even if it was just acting. That movie she stared in that you were watching called 'Dancing With Mr Wrong' is exactly like what happened. But we never danced and she never got pregnant. Trust me. I checked. I didn't want to go to the premiere because I didn't want to face her. I couldn't be rejected. I couldn't have her confirm what she wrote on the note she left. I didn't and I still don't want to be that drunken mistake. But now that Macy has come back for revenge I can't avoid her anymore. I have to help her. I don't want her to die. I didn't want to tell you or anyone about what happened with Lillian because I didn't want to get any of you killed." I explain before sitting heavily on the couch.
Liams jaw was hanging open in shock. "You slept with her?" He gasps.
"We were drunk. She was 21, beautiful, happy. But just someone I felt comfortable with, someone I could trust. It was 6 years ago." I sigh and put my head in my hands.
Liam sat beside me slowly. "Okay. That was not what I expected you to say." He says and I laugh dryly.
"When the girls told her not just to dress nice but showy to show guys what they were missing I almost lost it. When she walked over to me she said that she wouldn't wear showy if I didn't want her to. She cared about my opinion. She knew I wanted to get drunk and do something stupid but she stopped me. Then when we locked eyes I almost kissed her. When she knocked me down my instinct wasn't to save myself but to save her so I covered her body with mine to shield her. I would never have done that to anyone else." My voice cracks and I shake my head and sit up.
"Maybe she didn't talk to you to keep you safe. She might actually care about you. You'll never know unless you ask." I turn to face my brother at his words.
"I don't think so Liam. As she said. I'm just a drunken mistake." I say through gritted teeth before standing and walking away quickly up to my room where I locked myself in my bathroom and slid to the floor.
"What the hell have you done to me Lillian."

When I pulled up at the charity events location I nod slowly. Lights glowed golden through the windows of the large, elegant building. Climbing out I handed my keys to a valet before walking to the base of the steps to wait for the others.
A couple minutes later everyone except for Lillian had arrived and I was beginning to panic when a black car with tinted windows pulls up. The driver gets out and goes to open the back door.
First came feet in black strap heels which were followed by long elegant legs. When they fully emerged from the car and their dress flutters down my eyes widen and I feel weak. Lillian stood looking more beautiful than ever. Her red hair braided at one side and the rest fell in waves. The dress was a pale icy blue with long lace sleeves and slip shoulders. It was tight at the top and stopped at the waist with a silver sash. The skirt fell in layers. The front stopped at her knees and the back fell to her heels.
She smiled and walked over to us. I was too shocked to speak. When her eyes came to me I could tell she knew it too by the smallest smirk on her deep red lip. "You look amazing." Ashley and Shannon exclaim happily and they hug her.
"You guys know how to design and make dresses. I just love the colour." Lillian replies before turning to face me.
"You okay there Alex?" She asks cheekily and I quickly turn and walk inside.
He's turn as I enter but I ignore it and head straight to the drink table. I watch the entrance and all the others enter with Lillian in the lead. This time everyone looked and gasps were heard. Lillian stepped away from the group and disappeared into the crowd.
With a sigh I sip my champagne. "Do you like the dress?" I drop the glass in shock but Lillian swiftly catches it and passes it back to me.
"You're especially jumpy when you aren't full of alcohol." She smirks and I look away.
"Could you answer the question Mr Stone?" Lillian asks and I look up to see she had a hand on her hip.
I look her up and down slowly.
Damn she looked good.
"Well?" She looks at me expectantly and I give her a weak smile.
"You look like the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." I say and Lillian snorts with a roll of her eyes before looking away.
"There aware woman who are more beautiful than me Alex." She says as she crosses her arms over her chest.
I turn her around to face me and look her directly in the eye.
"I thought I already told you this Lillian." I smile sadly.
"No such woman exists."
