Two days later
Lillian Morgan
"Natasha?" I call as I step into my friends house. Alex walked in behind me.
I didn't completely want him to come because Natasha has her thoughts about him and because of Mary-Anne. She knows he's her father. But I've told her that he won't want anything to do with her so we can't tell him. It hurts to have to keep something as big as this from him. But I will tell him. When Macy is out of the picture.
Natasha comes bodies down the stairs but stops abruptly when she sees Alec. Her eyes narrow dangerously. "What is he doing here?" She hissed.
"He's my bodyguard. Macy wouldn't dare hurt him so when he's around I'm safe. I came to see Mary-Anne." I say as I walk over and hug her.
"Trust me. He'll be leaving me very soon." I whisper and she nods as she hugs me back.
"Mary-Anne. Your mums here." Natasha calls.
Mary-Anne comes racing around the corner and leaps into my arms in a flurry or red hair. "Mummy. I've missed you." She squeals happily and I hold back tears of happieness.
"Why is he here?" Mary-Anne asks and points behind me to a now awkward looking Alex.
"He's protecting me from the bad people." I reply.
"Be nice. But don't tell him anything." I whisper quietly and my daughter nods before I put her down.
"Alex this is my adopted daughter Mary-Anne." I smile as I introduce my daughter but inside I was crying and screaming.
"It's nice to meet you." Alex says with an awkward smile.
"You too Alex." Mary-Anne replies and I sigh in relief.
"How's grandma?" I ask as I look down at her.
"She's sick." She replies and I sigh sadly.
"How bad?" I'm almost to afraid to know the answer.
"The doctor says she'd be lucky to make it through this one." Natasha says quietly.
"They said that every other time." I growl.
"But this time the doctor is even more serious. You should see her Lillian. She really isn't well." Natasha says and I almost break then and there. But instead I laugh slightly.
"At least I can't be tried for murder this time."
Mary-Anne hugs my legs. "I'm sorry mummy." She says quietly and I kneel down to hug her.
"Now make sure you be a good girl for Natasha. I'll be back very soon okay?" I say as I stroke her hair.
"I will. Bye bye. I'll miss you." Mary-Anne sniffs. I kiss the top of her head and walk over to Alex.
"Let's go before I break anymore." I mumble and we leave the house.
We get into Alex's car by the doesn't drive off. He sits there facing me. "Are you alright?" He asks quietly.
"Just drive Alex." I snap. Alex sighs before starting the car and driving us away.

As soon as we got back to the manor I went straight up to my room and locked the door. Quickly I pull out my phone and sent a group message to Crystal, Ash, Delance, Kyle, Ashley, Steve, Shannon, Dylan, Maddison, Antonio, Alysha, Liam and Brett. 'I need to speak with all of u without Alex as soon as possible.'
I pressed send and sat down on my bed, my head in my heads. "I don't know who it'll break first. Him or me?" I whisper to myself.
Alex has always been the guy I've had a crush on out of the 8 Richest ever since I was a teenager and knew they existed. To me he was so different. I feel for him hard the night at the bar when I met him for the first time. After that I'd thrown my feelings away and thought they no longer existed. But now I realize that my feelings were just in hibernation and are now stronger than ever.
"Gah. Why me?" I yell in frustration as I walk out onto my balcony and lean against the railing.
A soft breeze blew and sent strands of my hair into my face. Along with it came a sweet smell that was very familiar yet I feel like I hadn't smelt it in years. I turn my head towards the breeze to see a bouquet of many different freesia flowers hanging from a piece of string tied to the roof a little way along. I furrow my brow in confusion. Why was this smell so familiar? When was the last time I smelt them?
Deep down inside my warning bells were going off. But I didn't move. I was so entranced by the familiar feeling of the flowers as I tried to figure out why they were familiar.
Then I remember my last ever skating competition where I bet Macy and my life begun to be haunted and somewhat destroyed. Macy was wearing a costume with freesia flowers on it. Her skating instructor had given her a bouquet of freesias exactly like this one.
My blood runs cold and slowly I back into my room before locking the balcony doors and shutting all the curtains. My breaths came jagged and my skin felt hot and clammy with fear. She's here. Macy is here. Turning I race from my room and downstairs where I spot Alex fighting a man with a long bladed knife. I froze to the spot before my anger boiled.
"I swear to god. If Macy gets another idiot to invade one of my safe places ever again I'll be coming straight for her." I yell before storming over.
I shoved Alex out of the way and the man made a swing at me with the knife. I duck and dodge before slamming my fist under his chin before jabbing my fingers hard into his exposed throat. The body fell to the ground in a crumpled heap. "Bastard." I spat before stomping over to the door. Slamming it open I walk outside. "Get your fucking shit together Macy. I'm not as weak and useless as you fucking think you bastard. Stay away from me and my family or else your body is going to be added to my growing body count." I yell at the top of my lungs just as everyone arrived, all hearing me rage to what appears to be nobody.
But I know.
I know Macy is out there watching me.
She may ever be looking me right in the eye.
