"Lillian. There's a package here for you." Alex calls and Lillian walks into the kitchen. On the bench was a small box.
She opens it slowly and smiles. In it was a small glass sculpture of a lily. "Ever since the world found out about my love for lilies I've been getting loads of things like these. This is the 29th glass lily this year." She smiles.
The doorbell rings and Dexter jogs out of the lounge to get it. "Oh hey Christopher. Come in." He says and a handsome boy with platinum blond hair and icy blue eyes walls inside.
"Mary-Anne. Christophers here." Dexter yells to his older sister and almost imediantly she comes racing downstairs and leaps into his arms laughing.
Lillian and Alex exchange sly smiles. Christopher and their daughter are extremely close. Ever since Mary-Anne got captured by Macy she was flinch and frightened. But when she met Christopher at an ice skating competition it all disappeared. Lillian hired Christopher as their personal ice maintenance worker so he could be close to Mary-Anne.
She was much happier and calmer when he was around. "I swear. If they don't start dating soon I'm gonna bash my head in." Dexter sighs as he walks into the kitchen.
"Hey. You can't rush these things. They're great friends. Which is exactly what Mary-Anne needs. It keeps your sister alive and sane." Alex hissed quietly.
"Mum, dad. I'm heading in to the ice skating rink to go train. Christopher has some ideas that'll help me win the next competition." Mary-Anne says with a smile.
"Alright. Be back before dinner and don't get into any trouble." Lillian says with a warning, motherly tone.
"Don't worry Mrs Stone. I'll make sure she's safe and keeps out of trouble. I'm not just an ice maintenance worker." Christopher smiles.
"Should I be worried?" Alex asks with narrowed eyes.
"No dad. He's like my personal bodyguard as well. He's a surprisingly threatening and scary person who knows how to make people run away." Mary-Anne laughs before walking out of the house either her best friend.
"You want to go anywhere son?" Alex asks.
"Paint balling?" Dexter asks slyly.
"I'll ring the others." Lillian says before Alex can rely which makes both males laugh.
The 8 Riches families love to go paint balling. It's a great bonding fame thst legally allows them to shoot at each other and allows the kids to shoot their parents without any punishment. Almost very weekend they all find time to go. When one suggests it everyone else just drops everything so they can go.
Lillian started up the idea. Alex agreed because he was too scared not to, Dexter thought it was brilliant and Mary-Anne was out with Christopher as she usually is.
"This is probably one of the strangest family traditions we have." Alex whispers to his son.
"I can 100% agree with that dad." He replies with a laugh.
