3 days later
Alex Stone
I dropped my head onto my desk in frustration. My laptop screen lit up and I slowly looked up. I could have sworn I shut it down.
On the screen was a news article. The heading read 'Who Are The Morgan Family Really?' The sub header read 'Are they killers or the most wanted?' There was a picture of the Morgan manor just below it. Glass was shattered, bullet wholes littered the walls and dead bodies scattered the ground. There was also a picture of Lillians mother being put into an ambulance on a stretcher while Lillian stood in the doorway.
As I skimmed over the article I rolled my eyes. Her family manor was attacked 3 days ago and every Sigler guard was killed. Her mother was severely injured yet Lillian was fine due to not being there for the attack. "You deserved that." I snarl as I slam my laptop shut and stand up.
I walk to the window and look down at the busy street. "I agree completely. I did deserve that and I deserve a hell of a lot more. What I did was wrong." My body went rigid at the voice.
"What are you doing here?" I hissed as I spun to see Lillian.
Her hair was hastily put into a ponytail and she looked as if she hadn't slept at all for the past week. My eyes narrow as I walk to my desk and press a small red button to alert the others. "I need your help Alex." She says quietly and I laugh.
"You need my help huh? Well I'm not gonna give it to you. Not after what you did to me Lillian. I loved you." I snap.
Lillian looked down. "I know what I did was wrong. But please, you have to help me Alex." She pleaded as she looked back up at me, tears in her eyes.
The door bangs open and the others all enter and stare at Lillian in shock. "Get her out of here." I snarl.
Slowly Ash and Kyle walk over to Lillian. They lift her up and she kicks and struggles. I turn away and clench my fists. "My mother died 5 minutes ago so you'd better put me down before I kill you." Lillian yells. I old have felt pain and pity for her 2 weeks ago. But now I feel nothing.
"I'm sorry but we can't do that." Liam says as they exit.
"I CAME TO TELL HIM THE TRUTH!" Lillian screams and there's a thud. I spin around to see thst Ash and Kyle had dropped Lillian in shock.
"Now?" Maddison asks in shock.
"Yes now." Lillian snaps as she stands up and storms back into my office.
"The truth?" I ask and it narrowed eyes.
"Mary-Anne isn't my adopted daughter Alex. She's my actual born daughter and Macy took her. She killed my best friend Natasha and took my Mary-Anne." Lillian says, tears falling down her cheeks.
"Why should I care? You used me." I cross my arms over my chest to control my rage. If Mary-Anne was her true daughter then she must have slept with another guy.
"The whole thing was a set up Alex. I never liked Liam it was always you. I got everyone together and told them that I needed to leave and make sure you never looked for me. I thought Macy so close I didn't want you to get hurt." Lillian sniffs but my rage doesn't die down.
"I broke the plan and brought up something about Alysha. I knew if I mentioned it she'd hurt me. I needed her to hurt me to make it believable and because I knew I deserved it." She continues.
"I'm still not going to help you Lillian. You hurt me more than anything else that's ever happened to me. Go find the father and get him to help because you're wasting your time here." I turn my back to her. Hoping she'll leave so I don't break down.
"I have found the father. I'm looking at him right now." Lillian says quietly. My arms drop and I slowly turn to find her starinh straight at me.
"What?" I ask weakly.
"You're the father Alex. Mary-Anne is yours. I kept her identity a secret to keep her safe. Nobody except the people in this room know because everyone else who did is now dead. I left, hoping it would keep you and her safe but it didn't work. Macy has taken Mary-Anne and killed my mother and best friend. I'm begging you. Please help me save our daughter." Lillian sobs as she falls to her knees.
My body is overwhelming with emotions as my walls disintergrated. Mary-Anne is my daughter.
All my emotions morphed into rage. "That bitch." I snarl.
"Why didn't you tell me she was mine?" I ask as I walk towards Lillian. She looks up at me and wipes her eyes.
"As I said. It was to keep her safe. If it got out that I had a daughter with the Alex Stone, on of the 8 Riches and co-owner of the Hotel de Coronado then many bad people would hunt her down to get to both you and me." She says as she wipes her tears on her sleeve.
Pulling her to her feet I pull her into my chest. "I'm sorry I tried to throw you out. You were very believable with the whole not loving me thing." I say quietly and Lillian laughs.
"I'm a world famous actress. Of course I was good." She replies.
"I'm a father. I can't believe I'm a father." I laugh and Lillian nods.
"Your the father to a 6 year old girl who's been kidnapped by a psychopathic bitch." Lillian steps back and I clench my jaw.
"Do you know where she is?" I ask and Lillian smirks.
"Of course I do. Mary-Anne has Flare with her." Lillian says and turns to Maddison.
"Do you have the phone I passed to you?" She asks and Maddison pulls out a phone and passes it to her. I watch as she takes out the sim card and battery.
"Can you on the files on this micro dot please?" Lillian asks as she pulls a small black dot off the sim card and passes it carefully to Maddison who quickly puts it on to the screen of her phone to start opening it.
"What's the password?" She asks and Lillian takes a piece of tape off the battery. She scans the battery over with narrowed eyes.
"2681390547." Lillian says.
"Aha. The tracker says she's in an old barn out of town." Maddison says triumphantly.
"First I have to know. Does Mary-Anne know I'm her father?" I ask and Lillian nods.
"When you get to her tell her I told you everything. She'll trust you then. Make sure Mary-Anne is safe and get out of the building quickly. Mary-Anne will know what to do after that." She says a hand I frown.
"You aren't coming?" I ask.
Lillian shakes her head with a sly smile. "Nah. I have to stay back and man the explosive. Aka Flare."
"Alright then. Lets go safe my daughter." I smirk.
Macy is gonna regret even thinking about revenge on Lillian.
She on know what hit her.
Quite literally.
