Nicky and I have been friends for a while, Nicky had blonde hair and blue eyes, he was Irish.
Nicky left college to audition for a band called Westlife, I was the only person he told, I didn't want him to go but its what he wanted and who am I to stand in his way.
Nicky has been in Westlife for a number of years now and I'm so happy for him, he's done so well. I kinda have a feeling that Nicky has been hiding a secret from me, I had to go over to Ireland to see him.

"Nico, are you okay?" Shane asked
"Yes, why?" Nicky asked
"No reason," Shane said
Nicky was in love with Shane, he has been since he joined the band, he loved everything about him, how could he not. Nicky hasn't told anyone that he's gay, he's worried about what people will think.
Shane is gay, he came out when he was 16 and he has never been happier but Nicky is scared.
My boyfriend and I arrived in Ireland and decided to go and find Nicky.
"Thank you for coming with me," I said
"You're welcome," Harry said
"I just feel like he's been keeping a secret from me," I said
"What makes you think that?" Harry asked me
"I don't know, I mean before he left, he just seemed sad and I need to know," I said
We arrived at the hotel and funny enough it was the same hotel as what Nicky and the boys were staying at.
We checked in and went to our room and went to find Nicky.
It didn't take us long at all, We found Nicky with the rest of the band, they were at the bar,waiting for Louis Walsh to turn up.
"Mr. Byrne?" I said
"Who's asking," Nicky said as he turned around. Nicky flung his arms around me and hugged me.
"Nico, can you please loosen your grip?" I said
"Sorry," Nicky said
Harry coughed.
"Sorry, Nico this is Harry my boyfriend, Harry this is my best friend Nicky," I said, the pair shook hands.
"Nico, is everything okay?" I asked
"I need to talk to you...in private" Nicky asked me
"Okay, Harry I need to speak to Nico," I said
"Do you want me to come?" Harry asked
"It's okay, stay and get to know the guys," I said and gave Harry a kiss. Harry was the jealous type, he didn't like anyone..well any males talking to me.
Nicky and I went to his room and sat down.
"Nicky, what's wrong?" I asked
"When I left college to be in Westlife, you were the only person I told and you were so supportive and I thank you for that but this one is so hard for me to tell you because I'm scared of what you will think and what the fans will think and what my parents will think" Nicky said
"Nicky," I said
"I've been hiding this secret for a long time and it's killing me," Nicky said
"Nico, whatever you tell me I will be there to support you no matter what, you were there for me when I was sexually assaulted, you didn't leave my side," I said
"Okay, so as you probably know Shane's gay," Nicky said
"Yes," I said
"I like him," Nicky said
"I like him as well, he's a lovely guy," I said
"No, I like him," Nicky said looking at me, it took me a while to understand what he was trying to tell me.
"Wait, are you.....Gay?" I asked
"Yes," Nicky said
"Why didn't you tell me sooner," I asked
"I was scared, I didn't know how you would take it," Nicky said
"Well, I'm happy for you and for the record, you need to tell Shane you like him, I'm pretty sure that Shane likes you," I said
"What makes you think that?" Nicky asked me.
"Just the way he looked at you before," I said
"What way?" Nicky asked
"Just that look," I said
"So you really think that Shane likes me?" Nicky asked
"I do," I said
There was a knock on the door and I went to answer the door and it was Shane.
"Shane," I said
"Sophie," Shane said and sat down on the bed.
"Is everything okay?" Shane asked me
"More than okay," I said
"Is Nico around, I need to speak to him?" Shane said
I smiled, was this my chance to get Nicky and Shane together?
"What's with the smile?" Shane asked
"No reason, anyway where's Harry?" I asked.
"In the bar with the boys," Shane said
Nicky came out of the toilet and stopped when he saw Shane.
"Shane," Nicky said
"Nicky," Shane said
I was by the door when Nicky came up to me
"You can't leave me here alone with Shane," Nicky said
"Just tell him how you feel," I said and left.

Nicky sat down on the chair in front of Shane.
"You okay?" Shane asked Nicky.
"Do you want a drink?" Nicky asked
"Nico" Shane said
"What?" Nicky said
"Just sit and I need to tell you something," Shane said
"Okay," Nicky said and sat down, Nicky couldn't help but stare into Shane's blue eyes, Nicky was falling more and more in love with Shane.
"Right, I think your amazing" Shane said
Nicky had all these thoughts going through his head. The one thing he was hoping was that Shane liked him as much as he like Shane.
"I love everything about you, I mean its hard not to.....I guess what I'm trying to say is that I like you" Shane said, Shane had no idea that Nicky was gay but Shane thought he would try his luck and see what would happen, worse case was that Nicky would beat him or the better case would be that Nicky felt the same and he did.
Nicky stood up, Shane began to get nervous, Nicky leaned down and kissed him.
"I like you," Nicky said
"That's good to know," Shane said laughing.
"I've wanted to tell you for so long but I didn't know if you felt the same" Nicky said
"I've liked you for such a long time...ever since you joined the band," Shane said
"Okay, so the next thing I have to do is to tell the fans and the media," Nicky said
"I will be there every step of the way," Shane said and kissed Nicky again.
