Chapter 2 : The Adoption

Third Person POV
Hestia sat by the boy and touched him. When she touched him he was surrounded by a strong yet calm and soothing fire which started healing his wounds from before and tonight. After the glow faded, she faced her brother, Hades, "Hades, I believe that when he wakes up we should first tell him all about Greek Mythology. When he asks for proof, we can show him. And only if he accepts will we adopt him. Meanwhile, call Persephone will you? She might want to be here." Hades nodded and mind messaged his wife. Within a few seconds a bright light appeared and there stood the goddess of the Spring and flowers. "Hades why have you called me here?" "Persephone, this boy here is the son of Poseidon, his mom died and he may be angry with my younger brother. I had an idea that me, you and Hestia here could adopt him. How do you feel about it?" "Hades that's the best idea you've had in a while. I would love to adopt him as he is not one of your sons." Hestia spoke up, "Persephone, you can only adopt him if he accepts. Okay?" Persephone nodded. Percy took a deep and shaky breath and started waking up.
Percy's POV
I woke up and opened my eyes to see three people standing there. One of them was an eight year old, the other was a man surrounded by shadows and giving a deathly aura and the last was a woman dressed in bright clothes. One might have mistaken her for a sill woman if not for the aura that she was giving. It was not as much as the other 2 but it was enough to scare anyone who could sense. The man spoke, "Glad you think so about us young demigod." Demigod? How did he know what I was thinking? The eight year old girl spoke in a calm voice, "Hades you should not read the young child's mind." Young? Who's she calling young? The flowery woman spoke, "Child I am not a flowery woman I am the goddess of flowers and spring Persephone. And she's the goddess Hestia. Hades is the god of underworld and my husband." She gestured towards the girl and then the man. I was utterly confused. I asked, "Does that mean you are from the Greek pantheon of gods?" "How much do you know about the Greek pantheon?" The man, Hades asked. "Just that there is a pantheon of gods which ruled Ancient Greece." He turned to Hestia and nodded. Hestia took me to the fire and made me sit down, "Okay, so I'll be telling you about the Greek pantheon." "Okay, you'll tell me but you'll have to show me proof alright?" I demanded. She nodded and began, "Millenia ago, on Earth only one being existed Chaos. She created many new gods such as Gaia the goddess of land, Ouranos the god of sky, Pontus the god of water etc. These were the first group of immortals known as Primordials. They had silver blood. Ouranos and Gaia married each other and had 12 immortal kids. These were known as the Titans and they had gold blood. As humans were not created till then some of the male titans and female titans mated. Kronos the king of the titans killed his father Ouranos upon the order of his mother Gaia. Ouranos cursed Kronos that his children would overthrow him as well. Kronos married Rhea and they had 6 kids. But they were not normal titans they were the new race of immortals, the gods. I was the first child Hestia. My father swallowed me whole in fear of being overthrown. He did so with my next 4 siblings as well. They were Hera, Demeter, Hades and Poseidon. Many other titans had kids. But they were titans. One of the titans Prometheus created humans which were smaller beings used for entertainment by the Titans. My mother Rhea guided by her mother Gaia hid her last child Zeus and gave a rock to my father. After a few years Zeus became the cup bearer of the Titans and he tricked Kronos into drinking a mixture that would bring us out of his stomach. We then waged war on the Titans for 10 years. In the end we won. We scattered Kronos' remains in Tartarus and Zeus became the king of the Olympian Council. The council at first was the 5 of us because my youngest brother did not want Hades on Olympus. It gradually got filled with immortal children of Zeus. I stepped down from my seat on the council to avoid conflicts when another one of Zeus' child Dionysus appeared. Sometimes the gods came down from Olympus and mated with the mortals or humans. These children were called demigods. Some humans were granted the ability to look through the Mist. The magical veil that separates the two worlds. So this is the story of the Greek Pantheon. You want proof that I'm Hestia? Please turn around so that I can change form." I obediently turned around. After a few moments I turned around and saw a woman in her mid twenties standing there. "Is that enough proof for you?" "Yes Lady Hestia." I bowed down. "Lady Hestia you forgot to mention who Lady Persephone is." "Well, its complicated. She's the daughter of Zeus and Demeter and she was abducted by Hades. After a few years she gradually fell in love with him." "Okay, its weird and complicated." Both Hades and Persephone laughed at this. "But why are you telling me this? Am I a demigod?" Hestia nodded and the environment turned grim. "I guess he must be a minor god. That's why he must not be able to come. Who is he anyways?" Hestia started hesitantly, "Perseus, your father is Poseidon god of the seas and earthquakes." I registered her words then I started shaking in anger. "YOU MEAN TO SAY THAT MY FATHER IS ONE OF THE BIG THREE AND HE COULDN'T SAVE ME AND MY MOTHER?" "Perseus stop! I know you are angry but please calm down. We want to make you a proposition. Will you become the adopted son of Hestia, Persephone and Hades?" I calmed down and said, "Of course,...Mom." She smiled and hugged me. Then Hades started chanting,
"I Hades, lord of the underworld adopt Perseus Jackson and swear on the River Styx to treat him as my own."
"I Persephone, wife of Hades adopt Perseus Jackson and swear on the River Styx to treat him as my own."
"I Hestia, eldest god, goddess of the hearth and home adopt Perseus Jackson and swear on the River Styx to treat him as my own."
After they finished, I asked, "What is the river Styx? Why did you swear by it?"
Hades, I mean Dad answered, "It is a river of the underworld and to swear by it is an unbreakable oath."
"Okay, so can we go and visit the underworld?"
"Of course, son. But first we need to bless you."
All three of my new parents shot different coloured beams of light and I was surrounded by them. I felt myself stronger. I could control water. "Percy, you can shadow travel, control plants, summon fire and home cooked meals from our blessings. You can also control water and all its forms by birth."
I nodded, "I Perseus Jackson swear by the River Styx to take revenge on my step father if ever I meet him again."
All of them were shocked by my oath but smiled. I guess I was lucky that Poseidon never came. Otherwise, I wouldn't have got such wonderful parents

Chapter 2 is up. I might not be able to post any chapter tomorrow on both my stories.
