Chapter 20 : Prophecy and Quest

Percy's POV

I went out of the cabin very silently and started moving towards the Big House. I usually followed all the rules but this was important that's why I was out at curfew. Just in case if I met a few harpies I brought out my helm and I wore it.

Thankfully, it was uneventful. In fact, it was quite weird seeing the camp entirely empty. I slowly opened the door and I got in and closed the door. I just hoped Chiron would not sense me. I started walking up the stairs when I heard something upstairs, a creaking. Must be a rat or something. 

I walked up and I reached the trapdoor when I heard some scuffling inside. Now that was suspicious. I entered the room ever so slowly and saw a silhouette of  a person. I hid behind a pillar of sorts.

"Oracle I need to save Lady Artemis please give me  a prophecy." The person spoke. It  was a girl. And how did she know about Artemis being in danger? Her voice sounded familiar. 

Green smoke started coming out of the oracle. But it did not speak. Then it looked straight into my eyes.

"Approach seeker and ask."

The girl turned around and I saw that it was Zoe.

"Percy what are you doing here?"

"Zee I came here to ask the Oracle for help. I had a dream about Artemis being in danger."

"You too?"

I nodded and turned towards the Oracle. "What must I do to save Artemis?"

Five shall go west to the goddess in chains,

One shall be lost in the land without rain,

The bane of Olympus shows the trail,

Campers and Hunters combined prevail,

The Titan's curse must one withstand,

And one shall perish by a parent's hand

Okay. That was depressing. I looked at Zee.

"Go to sleep Zee. We'll tell Chiron about the prophecy tomorrow."

She nodded and went to the cabin. I just sat down there and wondered what the prophecy could mean. 2 people would die. One would die in the land without rain and one will die by a parent's hand. If our destination was Mount Othrys and Atlas was free that meant that only one person had the most chance of dying. Zee. I could not let that happen. I would protect her with my life.

** Time Skip **

I woke up in the attic. I might not have left it. I got up and walked out into the main room. Chiron was sitting there alone.

"Chiron can you please call a meeting of the Cabin Counselors." 

He was mildly shocked to see me there but he hid it well. After a few minutes all the cabin counselors were assembled in the Ping Pong Room, along with Zee.

"Campers as we know Annabeth is missing but along with that Lady Artemis is also missing."

All the campers loudly gasped. Okay, mildly gasped. 

"Yesterday, I sneaked into the attic to ask the Oracle about how we could save both of them?"

Zee loudly snorted. I glared at her,"The prophecy went something like this....." 

After I told them the prophecy the entire room was quiet. Zee spoke up, "As much as I dislike it, campers will have to come on this quest. No boys allowed however."
