//Unknown Location//
Percy's POV
How many times do I have to remind myself not to jinx the entire journey. Till now we've narrowly escaped being hit by a motor boat and being spotted on a beach riding weird rainbow creatures. Anyways, currently we're on our way to the sea of monsters. I squint very hard to make out a big white ship a few kilometers from us.
Take us to the ship and you can go.
Of course, my lord.
With that the four of them racedover to the ship and dropped us there. As soon as I stepped onto the ship I sensed that something bad was about to happen.
"Stick close. This ship reeks of danger." We walked around the rooms when we heard indistinct noises coming from the alley. We went closer and heard human voices not those monster ones.
"Chris I think it's time."
"Fine, lets go."
"Those were the demigods who vanished from camp this year. They have turned sides, one of them was Chris Rodriguez." Annabeth said from behind. I nodded and we kept on walking. We reached a door that read 'Captain's Room' in Ancient Greek.
"We have sent a few demigods ahead with that satyr of yours to retrieve it." Tyson said in a different and deep voice.
"Tyson what was that?" Brendan asked too calm but I knew that inside he was freaking out.
"Cyclops have an ability to mimic voices, so that's what I did."
"There here? How? Where?" Pause. "Just outside the door?" I realized what was happening.
"Run!" Before we could two gruff hands lifted us up and threw us on the ground.
"It's good to see you Percy and Annabeth."
"Not so nice to see your scarred face, Luke." I spat with venom that could make a snake jealous.
"Let's all calm ourselves and pay respect to the Lord of Time." He said while pointing to a gold coffin.
"You mean Kronos?" He nodded.
"Then I'll have to destroy it!" Brendan raised his sword but Luke just stood and said,
"Perhaps, you haven't noticed my new bodyguards have you Brendan?"
We were in huge trouble. His bodyguards were way big and dangerous, our only bet of surviving was to escape. I looked around and I noticed a fire burning.
"I'm sorry, Luke but you can continue without us on your journey. We have places to be."
"Do you think I will let you go this easily?"
"Nah, because I am." I controlled the flame and created a wall of fire between us.
"Run fast." We ran at such speed as if our lives depended on it which it did.
"Annabeth, take Tyson and Brendan with you and search for a life boat. Take my bag, in it you will find the thermos of winds. Open it carefully and you will be on your way. I'll stall Luke and his creatures.""But if we start moving, how will you catch up to us?"
"Seriously Annie? You do not need to worry about me. Just take care of the idiot behind you." I said and ran away in the opposite direction.
Annabeth's POV
After Percy went the other direction I was filled up with irritation. I mean how much loyalty can one guy show? I was worried for a moment but when I saw him bring out Deathnote and Riptide, I knew he could take care of himself. I also had to take care of a cyclops and an idiot. But this was not the time for self pity.
We raced down the boat turning here and there when we finally saw a boat. We quickly pulled out the boat and threw it in the water. Brendan, who was shuddering with fear, clumsily climbed onto the boat.I hastily pulled out the Thermos of winds and gently opened it but no! It still had to open with such great force I almost fell back. We were on our way to the sea of monsters and I hoped that Percy would be able to catch up with us.
Luke's POV (Plot twist?)
I don't understand what's going on. It's like I am a prisoner in my own body. I know from my studies in magic and all that I was being possessed, but by who? Not Kronos, he was still not strong enough. Was there a stronger being involved in all this? Or it could be I was being possessed by one of Kronos' minions on his bidding so that I don't switch sides.
Honestly I didn't even support all this violence. All I wanted to do was to remind the gods that they have children that they should take care of. Currently I was seeing through my eyes, Percy who was fighting a horde of monsters. I wanted to help him but I couldn't. I just hoped that he would not die because of my foolishness.
Percy's POV
I was being overwhelmed right now. I didn't want to reveal all my powers to the enemy right now but I had to do it, if I was to escape from here alive. Then something hit me, we were on water. I could use the water to influence this fight. I concentrated on the water below me and felt a tug in my gut and voila! A huge wave crashed on to some of the monsters, giving me some time to make an exit.
I walked on the roof of the boat(sound familiar?) when Luke arrived with his lackeys,"What are you doing? Get off my roof!" I almost laughed. Almost. And then came the familiar tug in the gut and I was standing on a massive wave and rapidly moving towards a tiny speck in the sea that was hopefully the boat I was looking for.
After surfing for about 5 minutes i was sitting in the boat talking to Annabeth, "So where to next?"
"Well there's a hideout near Chesapeake bay we Luke, Thalia and I built when we were on the run."
"Wouldn't Luke think of going there?"
"He probably doesn't remember or care." She said in a tone that indicated anger.
After few minutes of silence, with the only sound of snoring - courtesy of Brendan- we reached the hideout. We went into the cave and I said, "Tyson, go look for any food that you might find."
"Powdered Doughnuts?" He said with a hint of excitement. "Sure." I replied, though was pretty sure he wouldn't find any. Brendan had woken from his sleep and I challenged him to a duel.
"I'll cream you in a matter of minutes." Brendan boasted.
"If you're so sure of yourself, let's fight without any weapons." I saw a look of fear but only for a second as he regained his confidence. I stalked towards him and we circled each other. He pounced on me but I just dodged left and delivered an uppercut to his left jaw. Not that hard as it would break his jaw.
He was stunned for a moment and then tried to punch me the gut. Keyword as always tried. I dodged and pinched the nerve on his neck that was sure to send him into unconsciousness. He flopped to the ground. Hard. 10 minutes later Tyson came in with 2 full boxes of Powdered Doughnuts.
"Where did you get those?" Annabeth asked suspiciously.
"On the island." Tyson replied. "What is the problem? He got them didn't he." Brendan prompted.
"Dear Brendan, don't you think that it is kind of weird that he came up with doughnuts on an uninhabited island?" I replied. He nodded hesitantly.
Annabeth said, "Tyson, take us to the place where you found them."
Tyson nodded and started moving as we followed him. We hid near the bushes as we reached the place. The building said, ' Monster Doughnut'. As I saw it my heart nearly stopped. The reason for this was not the name of the building it was the thing that was guarding the building.
It was a freaking Hydra.
A/N
Yeah I guess a you guys expect an apology. So, I'm really sorry that I did not update the story for such a long time. I was just taking a break.
Now I'm back, so you can expect more frequent updates. The maximum I can do is maybe a chapter in 1 or 2 weeks.
I'm really happy with the response in my absence having reached 20k views.
Let's keep working on those votes though. Bye!
