Elijah and Elena arrived just as Hope was wheeled out of the OR.
They were both met by the deputy principle greeting them now, "Hello, Mr Mikaelson. I don't know what else to say, but that - I am sorry about it all."
"Yes, you said, Ms Sommers." Elijah said,"we will talk later. Let me introduce Ms Gilbert to you. She is Hope's new companion."

"Nice to meet you, Ms Gilbert- Elena. Hope has told me so much about you."
The witch, of course knew very well, who Elena was, as well as who Elijah was, but she didn't let anything out, let one that she had known Jefferson for years, and had helped him immensely on his quest to uncurse Elijah.
"Nice to meet you." Elena said,"Hope told me a lot about you. The new cool professor"
And as she saw Elijah flinch a bit at the remark, Elena added-
"But very strict and demanding."
"We can be cool, fresh, new, innovative, but work has to be done. No slacking us tolerated." Jenna said.
The consultant now approached them and the three of them turned to her.
"Mr Michaels, you and your wife can see you daughter when she wakes up."
"Excuse me" Elijah now looked strangely at the consultant.
"Aren't you the parents of Nora Michaels?" the consultant asked.
"No, I am Elijah Mikaelson - and", he was going to clarify that Elena was not his wife, but he changed his mind, and now continued, "my niece is Hope Mikaelson."
"Oh, I do apologize." the consultant said, "Hope Mikaelson was operated by Dr Saltzman. The nurses must have mixed something up. He will be with you shortly."
Elena could see with the corner of her eye that Elijah looked frustrated, but kept his composure.
Finally, the consultabt that had operated Hope arrived and he now gave them the download of how it went.
"All in all, it was not a big trauma, and she was extremely lucky. Though she will be on brd rest for next six weeks, with the knee even longer, she is young and this will heal accordingly." Dr Saltzman said."You can see her when she wakes up."
"I would like to see her now." Elijah said with a somewhat demanding tone in his voice.
The consultant was somewhat reluctant, but the way Elijah's whole demeanor was assertive, the man nodded in agreement.
As Elijah went to the ICU, Elena stayed with Jenna.
"He is quite authoritative." Jenna remarked.
"Yes." Elena slipped, "but also caring. He loves his niece very much."
