"What happened?" Caroline asked the brunette "Did you see Elijah?"
"I saw him." Elena replied taking a deep breath.
"It's not good, right?" Klaus said wslking in from the kitchen.
"He can't be talked to." Elena continued walking past Klaus.
"Did you tell him about the baby?" Caroline asked as she followed Elena in the kitchen.
"No." Elena said taking a bottle of the water out of the fridge, turning to the window, trying to hide her tears.
"Come on, love. Let's give her a moment." Klaus said to the blonde.
Caroline nodded and followed her ghostly beloved out of the kitchen.
Elena now wiped her tears off and taking a sip of the water flashed back to the meeting with Elijah half an hour eralier.
Flashback
In the alley close to Elijah's apartment in Algiers
Elena neared the alley having heard Elijah talking to Hayley.
Knowing very well that they would be able to hear her, she quickly moved her hand applying a clocking spell on herself. She stood still for a second, listening to their conversation.
"You seriously think that Aya will let this go. You don't know her the way I do." Hayley pointed out to Elijah.
"We'll kill her. There must be a witch that can do away with her."
"Maybe there is. I know someone that is nearly as powerful as your ex maid is going to be at the Ball tonight. Want to meet her?" Hayley pouted.
"Right. Set up a meeting" Elijah said. He now was ready to leave, but he stood looking stunned at the brunette that now seemed to sweep out of nowhere, snapping Hayley's neck swiftly, having the vampire smlump down like a flimsy puppet.

"Hello, there" Elena said, her eyes gleaming at the vampire.
"What do you want?" Elijah said clenching his teeth.
"Stop you from sinking into more darkness." Elena replied.
"The darkness comes with you witches. Go back to where you came from," Elijah waved away at her, furrowing his eyebrows.
"I know everything that was done to you - I can take it all away! Come with me, Elijah"
"Go away, and don't come looking for me again." Elijah said in a very cold manner and turned around to leave, but, he quickly realized that he couldn't, as Elena had posed a boundary, which infuriated him even more. His eyes darkened and narrowed at her in a very menacing manner.
