'When you are there to stop the disintegration of my feelings, to prevent the deterioration of my mind, I am reminded that not everyone is so fortunate. That you love me like you do is a miracle I treasure every moment of every day. It would be so beautiful if everyone had love like that in their lives. You give me the strength to confront my fears, my angers, my failings and know that I am still worthy of your love. With the strength you give I can know myself with unguarded eyes and realize that, though I am not perfect, I am good enough share love with you. I love you more than words can say and I am immensely grateful for your love. Forever yours, Elijah.'
Elena read Elijah's letter, wiping a tear off.
"Hey, what is this- why are you crying?" Caroline said as she walked in the salon followed by Hope, Bonnie and Rebekah.
"It's happy tears." Elena said folding the letter.
"Since we are finally all about happiness, I think we can have champagne." Rebekah said.
Swaying a look at her niece, the woman quickly corrected herself. "Orange juice for you young lady, though."
"I'm fine with club soda" Hope replied.
As Rebekah poured the drinks, her brothers and Damon walked in from the garden.
"Champagne already?" Klaus wondered taking the glass from his sister.
"We thought that we kind of have a little toast now for the bride and groom" Rebekah said. "Elena was not really into a bachelorette party."
"I am not- sorry you guys - the last few days with Elisa's stomach bug, and not sleeping much, I just want to stay here." Elena said.
"We understand" Caroline said. "Most important is that you two finally get married tomorrow- we can have a girls night out any time later."
"Also, since we all have been apart for so long it is nice to sit together and have a meal or something. " Elijah said.
"Yes- on that note," Rebekah took over from her brother, "I took the liberty to arrange for some catered food."
Everyone was happy with the idea, proceeding to the old winter garden and spendung all afternoon till the evening sharing stories if childhood and young adulthood.
