Damon was of course thrilled about the baby news, which was a bit of a shock to Bonnie, which really was surprising, as she knew every fiber of his being, every though, even before he thought it. They started out as friends, and transitioned into being Damon and Bonnie. The one and only couple that showed everyone that love can be very real and longlasting.

The night she told him she was pregnant
"How come you are not running a mile?"
"You are seriously asking me this?" Damon looked gobsmacked,"the hormones have kicked here in reverse? Which figures"
"You are really happy? Because this is - totally - the wrong timing - and"
Damon now grabbed her and pulled her into a kiss.
"What does this tell you?" he said as he easied out of the kiss.
Bonnie looked him in the eyes, glowing with happiness.
"Still - we had plans"
"Yeah, but plans can change- and this plan," Damon ran his hand down to her belly,"is the most beautiful unexpected one ever."
