"No, Klaus, I will not do a thing for Elijah. He has been a real jerk after you - died." the blonde sighed tearing up.
Klaus huffed a bit, knowing that what he was about to say would bring her over the edge, but there was no way around it.
"He is not himself and it is not his fault. Well, not entirely. We all - are to blame for the way he is now."
"What? To blame for - what exactly? That he doesn't care about anything or anyone. Did you know that he put Hope in a private school in Salem, Massachusetts. 1500 miles away from her home. And he doesn't let us see her at all. O flew there once and when I returned he - threatened me - huh- I don't want to go there. Just don't ask me to help him. Don't!"
Klaus exhaled deeply. "He had to."

"You -what?" Caroline shook her head again."I don't get anything what you are saying? Why did he have to?This doesn't make sense"
"He had to do it to protect her." Klaus said.
"To protect her- from what?"
"From - the witches and the vampires." Klaus replied.
"WHAT?" Caroline couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"Yes. Elijah is part vampire, part human himself. I've never told everything about my family." Klaus gulped a little.
"Wha-t are you saying? What? How? This is crazy!" Caroline looked at the ghost wide-eyed.
"Crazy - maybe to some. But - you also have this-supernatural gift -"
The blonde widened her eyes. "What gift?"
"You know it very well. Because of your gift - you can see me." Klaus said curling a sweet smile at her.
Yes, she had a gift. It was true. She was a medium. And as she found out when she was just a kid that she could connect to something the witches called the other side, and the experience being very traumatic, she did all to shut it down.
"So - he has always been one?" she turned to the subject of Elijah.
"No. And - there is- we never went to the boat trip for the birthday/bachelor party that day. And just so you know- Rebekah didn't stand you up." Klaus said.
"What are you saying?" Caroline shook her head slightly, her eyes narrowing curiously.
"We went to look for Elijah." Klaus said.
