Elena kissed her baby daughter on the forehead, craddling her dearly as she whispered to the child, "I will be back in a jif. And you will be a good girl for your witch Godmother Bonnie. It's time to get your dad back."

"If this is not the cutest thing ever,"Bonnie gushed at the sight of Elena and little Elisa,"can't wait for this one to be born"
The witch put the hand on her belly.

"I am so happy for you and Damon. He is a great dad." Elena said recalling her catching Damon holding Elisa once telling her a story, trying to lull the child to sleep.

"Yeah. He loves Lilith to bits - your Elisa, too."

"I can't thank you enough for evetything you've done for me."

"Stop this. We are best friends. Forever." Bonnie's eyes glittered with emotion, giving her friend a hug goodbye.

Watching her leave, Bonnie made a silent witchy blessing in her heart for her friend.

Elena left Mystic Falls, with a heart full of anguish and yet at the same time confident and bold.

Whatever was to become of her and Elijah, she felt her daughter should have her father.

Sinking in thoughts, she travelled back to the moment she had first laid eyes on Elijah.

"Elena is on her way" Caroline said to the ghostly apparition of her boyfriend Klaus.

"I can't believe it's actually going to happen - and we will be free."

"I know. You and I will be together - I will be able to be with you properly." Caroline smiled, her whole being trembling with the thought of it.

"I sincerely hope they get back together. Surely Elena understands that this was not Elijah."

"Yeah - but you said that he hates the witches. And Elena is a witch, and so is Elisa." Caroline remindrd Klaus of the fact.

"Elijah has always wanted a family. He wanted a normal life."

"There you have it. Being a witch, Elena will never have what you call "normal" life."

"Aren't you the one who believes in good defeating evil? The good girl getting the prince, a Fairytale ending?" Klaus smirked cutely at the blonde.

"Yes, I do. And I so want that for them - for us - for everyone. I hope they get it. They both deserve it."

"I hear a but stuck somewhere there in your eyes"

"I know Elijah and you know Elijah and we both know what he went through as a kid" Caroline huffed a little.

"She will heal him - she will." Klaus said with optimism.

"I really hope so. He's been through so much"

"He has and that is why he deserves to have a normal life. A family. Happiness." Klaus said looking at Caroline with warmest of eyes.

"And so do you."

"I hope to have one with you"

Caroline's eyes watered, her heart filling with love.

"Any changes?" Elena asked her friend, obviously referring to Elijah's state.
