" Sweeney! " Nellie whispered silently to her sleeping husband on the bed.
" Sweeney? " she whispered again but this time he moved a bit. " Sweeney, wake up. " a bit louder this time when she patted his shoulder.
Sweeney's eyes flickered open and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Who would be waking him when it was still late?
He turned and shifted. It was just his wife. " Nellie? " he said silently.
" Yeah " she giggled and blushed. She was embarrassed for waking him up at this late hour. " Wha- what are you doing here? What time is it? " he rubbed his eyes when still half asleep.
" Half a minute before 12. "
" What is it? "
" Get changed and meet me at the front door. "
Without saying another word, she got out of bed and went downstairs.

When Sweeney was done changing his clothes, he went downstairs and saw Nellie at the front door, fixing her hair.
He walked towards her. " Nellie, what is this about? " he asked her when she finished her hair. " You'll see. " she sighed and opened the door then started walking.
Rosalie's restaurant wasn't really in town. It was in the center of a tiny forest but it wasn't really far for people to walk to her restaurant. There was a small sidewalk that led to it.
It wasn't really dark when they were walking. The moonlight was shining brightly above them. Sweeney didn't know where they were heading but what he did notice that the sidewalk which they were walking on was growing wider.
The ground that they were walking on was growing softer. He didn't know where they were going but he just calmly followed her.
Nellie suddenly stopped and turned her head to the right direction which had no track but lots of trees around. Sweeney wasn't aware of any of this. He just furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
It didn't take long for Nellie to finally turn her whole self and started walking to where she looked at. Sweeney followed. They took the branches that were on their way with their hands.
And finally, they were in an open surface. Nellie was frozen and only stared at whatever she was looking at. Sweeney couldn't see it yet cause he was dusting of tiny pieces of wood that was on his shirt.
When he was done, he looked up and he couldn't believe his eyes. No wonder Nellie was just standing there. They were a meter away from the beach and their old house.
They both stared at it for a minute. Sweeney and Nellie never blinked an eye for they haven't seen their old house in almost a year. All the things they did on this very place came flashing back to their minds.
Nellie was the first one to take a step forward and walk to their house then Sweeney followed. When they were in front of it, they slowly climbed up on the staircase and stopped in front of the door.
Nellie placed her palm on the piece of wood and pushed it open. Tiny particles of dust dropped from the ceiling.
Sweeney entered. " I couldn't remember the last time I set foot on our very home. " he told himself. Nellie looked up at him when he slowly walked forward and softly slid his hand on the couch.
" I was going around the place when I found out about this shortcut. I just stared at it for a long moment. I never took a step forward. I was too afraid to. " Nellie said in a calm tone.
Sweeney looked at her and gave her a slight smile but it softly faded away. " Why didn't you? " he asked.
" Because I wanted it with you. " she answered. Sweeney gazed down and so did she. Nellie started walking around when Sweeney walked towards the fireplace and noticed a picture frame.
