AND THANK GOD BECAUSE I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT THIS SHIP. Seriously, wanting to talk about Percalypso was one of the things that really fueled me to continue with this ship book. Doing this chapter, I finally feel accomplished!! :'D I feel like I could just end this ship book here and there, but I can't really do that, since I've got a lot more requests to do. I'll go into details of what I mean in the next chapter, because I care about this ship too much to take more attention from it :'') Especially since the fandom already does, smh.
I'll start with this; PERCALYPSO MAKES ME SOFT. I don't even ship Percalypso that hard, it doesn't fuel me the way every other ship I like that I've talked about does, but their moments are irresistibly adorable.
Wanna know why I think that? Because holy shit, Percy developed a crush on Calypso so fast! I mean come on, she's more beautiful to him than the goddess of beauty and love! Besides, the whole damn time Percy is just enjoying Calypso's company so much. THIS ESPECIALLY MADE ME SHIP THEM

The way he got so upset because Calypso would stop looking at him and stop smiling???? That gave me so many emotions!! Percy really got such a huge crush on her, and Calypso loved him too, obviously. It's such a sweet relationship, and yet it's all so painful too, because Percy obviously had to leave Calypso eventually and leave her heartbroken. Talk about finding love in the worst place. And yet Percy still says she's his biggest what if kjfdgbdjdfkjgbdkjsg
Even after he leaves the island he still values her so much. Keeping the moonlace on his windowsill, getting blushy when Promethus said that with Calypso he knows not all Titans and their offspring are bad, dreading the idea that Calypso cursed him (GOD THIS SHIP HURTS). This ship was just another Percico to me. Their moments just had too much chemistry and the ship won me over.
Yeah, this ship is really just me liking the moments between them. I definitely think their personalities align well and all (classy lady x badass dork is a pretty great match), but had they not been written in such a beautiful way I wouldn't be as invested. Either way, Percy is totally my first choice for a ship for her, and is really the only Calypso ship I like, because otherwise I prefer the idea of Calypso just being happy without love. With other ships I feel like I take away from the idea, but Percalypso feels like needed closure.
Percalypso is so romantic and pure, and sad and heartbreaking. And then it can be romantic and pure again with the idea of Percy and Calypso getting back together once Calypso manages to get out of Ogygia somehow (AU WHERE PERCY SAVES HER AND NOT LEO). If this ship had more content and I wasn't such a fan of Percico I'd probably love this ship a lot more (*I say as I keep shipping Magnico hard*), but overall, this ship is precious, and could definitely use more love!!
