I'm pretty sure that, in another life, if Travis and Katie interacted and actually had more character than just a few traits, they could maybe have an actually interesting and funny love-hate relationship. But since they don't have much going for them in the canon...what exactly is there to make their relationship interesting? Love-hate couples, as much as I can like them, are actually very hard to pull off well, because there's a very thin line between a love-hate couple and an unhealthy couple. Hell, love-hate couples irl are pretty unhealthy. 

The few times I HAVE liked love-hate couples, have been because a) the characters canonly have awesome interactions, or b) the characters have very interesting personalities that play off each other very well. Tratie has none of that, and a lot of it has to do with them being background characters. If they actually mattered to the story, I bet the idea of Tratie wouldn't be so ridiculous, but...it is. The basis of Tratie seems to be 'These two characters are different and seem to not get along, and have nothing else going for them....OTP!!!!' 

I think the only redeemable value this ship has is that I think it'd be hilarious that Connor ships them super hard. But if I were to write for these two, I'd probably make fun of the idea of them being seen as a couple. Have people here and there ship it just because 'Ooh!! They're arguing!!!' I bet Travis would flirt just to annoy her, but Katie wouldn't be the least bit interested and would "cockblock" him every time. I definitely wouldn't ship these two however, I just think it's too dumb and too random.
