The Alpha's Mate

Chapter 1

Katie's POV:

     I wake up about five minutes before the alarm clock starts beeping. It took me hours to go to sleep but even then I only slept a little. My phone beeps with a message and when I look at it, I see that it is a reminder telling me that school starts today. I groan, first days at new schools is never fun, especially if you get teased all the time because everyone thinks it's funny that your parents died in a car crash. They just live to get a kick out of me having no real parents and am living with a very strict grandmother. But I am getting ahead of myself.

    

     Hi, my name is Katie Anderson and I am 17 years old. I am 5'8" with blonde hair and blue eyes. My birthday is Octber 31st. Weird right? Well get this, I was also born at night so I am a bit of a Halloween baby. I am an only child and I lived with my parents up until two weeks ago. We were on the road heading home when a drunk driver swerved and killed them instantly, I was the only survivor and was found holding their hands and crying .  Even though I was the only survivor, I didn't get away unhurt. Their are scars on my back, stomach, and one little one on my right eyebrow to prove it. After that I was forced to live with my grandmother. So there's my history,  now let's get back to the story.

    

     I went to the bathroom to have a quick shower then I went straight to my closet. I decided that today's outfit to consist of black skinny jeans with a white tank top and a black leather jacket to go over it. I paired that with black ankle boots. When that was finished I went to the bathroom and put on make-up,  keeping it natural and threw my hair into a messy bun. I then gathered my books and bag and went to the kitchen.

     When I got there it was empty since my grandmother never got up this early. I decided to grab and apple to eat on the way. All that done I headed out the door and climbed into my blue camaro.
