The Alpha's Mate

Chapter 10

Cashion's POV:

     After school. The entire group headed over to my house. Amanda was in Aaron's car. Rebecca was in Ian's.  And Katie was with me. We decided to just leave her car at school then after we were done I can bring her back to her own vehicle. We studies till about 11:30 before Katie started looking anxious and nervous.

     She kept glancing at the clock and I took that at the cue to call it a night. My beta and gamma left with their mates after I mindlinked them and told them we needed to deal with the rouges. I don't know why but for some reason, attacks have been occurring more frequently wich really wasn't their style.

     As I was driving her home, I decided to just man uo and ask her the question I have wanted to ask her as soon as I layed my eyes on her. "Hey Katie?" I said and through my peripheral vision I saw her look at me curiously.  However, I just kept my eyes on the road ahead. "Would you like to go to the movies with me this Saturday? " I asked nervously.

     She, of course stayed quiet but after about 5 minutes she looked through he bag and grabbed a piece of paper and pencil. Switching on the overhead light, I drove as she wrote something and then passed it to me.

     Like a date? She had written. I smiled and said, "Yeah. Exactly like that." She took the paper back and wrote something else vefore passing it back to me. Like boyfriend and girlfriend date? I chuckled and then replied. "I could've did this better but, Katie, would you like to be my girlfriend?"

     At those words, she went completely still and just stared out into space. After about ten minutes of silence I began to question whether I shoukd have spoken at all. Well, if she says no. I will still protect her by being her friend. Oh, please say yes Katie. I am so in love with you it hurts.

     When I pulled up to the school by her car. I shut iff my engine, got out, and went and opened the passenger door so she could get out. On her way to her car she gave me a the paper she wrote on, smiled, then climbed to ber vehicle and drove away. When she was completely gone and out of my sight, I unfolded the piece of paper and what I read made my heart swell with joy.

     Yes. Who knew one simple word could make me as happy as I am right now? Cause I sure as hell didn't.  When I got back to my house I saw something on the table in the kitchen. I walked over to it curiously and saw Katie's name on it. I sat down and began flipping through the pages. The drawings I saw were in so much detail that it made it look like I was actually there and it took my breath away.

     But when I got to the picture of the waterfall my heart completely stopped. Hey Rebecca. I mindliked my gamma's mate. What is it Alpha? She replied. What's Katie's website called?  It's www.drawingsforsale.com. Why?

     No reason. Thank you. She replied your welcome and I immediately logged onto her site and found that the picture was not yet sold and was still getting bids. I immediately put my bid at $2,000 dollars and waited for about and hour before the sold sign appeared along with the address I should send the money to and the question about where she should send the picture.  I quickly typed who I was and that we could meet at school, and make the trade.

     After that went and had a quick shower and was about to hhit the hay when my computer dinged. I walked over and saw it was an email from Katie. I quickly opened it and read, Hey Cashton, thanks for buying the picture but you really didn't have to. And you shouldn't have paid so much for it anyway. I smiled at that and just typed my response.

     It was a gorgeous picture. One that was filled with talent. You deserved all of the money. Besides what kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't show any support. Goodnight babygirl. I grinned as I pictured her face as she read my response.  My eyes started drifting close so I decides to just go to sleep. As soon as I hit the pillow I was asleep and already dreaming about the beautiful blue eyed girl who was now my girlfriend.
