Cashton's POV:

After School;

When I got home I immediately charged into the woods by my house. Leaving all of my stuff in my car. Not caring about my clothes, I shifted into my midnight black wolf with forest green eyes and charged.

I hated the way Belinda spoke to Kate. And speaking of, it was getting harder and harder for me to tell myself that I didn't want a mate. Yeah, Kate was a gteat person but having a mate becomes dangerous. Once you have one they are your weakness.

I always imagines that I would have a dramatic mate. Yeah, I did wait for her but only because maybe once she found out that I didn't then she would probably reject me. And right niw is not a good time to walking around like the walking dead. There are way too many problems at hand so I have to put my pack first and then maybe I can focus on my mate.

But once I got to thinking about her. I remembered how she just kept calm win Belinda was all in her face practically threatening that if ahe didn't stay away from me then she would die. In fact, at those words she actually looked Belinda in the eyes and smirked. She SMIRKED in werewolf's. When she did that, however, I knew that if I didn't step in then that was gonna get ugly. So I stepped in between them and mindlinked Belinda saying if she ever did anything like that again then there would be severe consequences. When thise words reached her she wimpered and ran like her tail was tucked between her legs.

I sighed. Only my Kate could do that. If it had been anyone else then they would have ran scared. But not her. I was proud to have a mate like her. Maybe it's time that I do need a mate. I need to put my stubbornness aside.

As I was running I smelled a very familiar scent. Why is Kate in the middle of the woods. I thought. She has no idea of the dangers that could be lurking in here. I took off following her scent. After about ten minutes I arrived at the little waterfall on our land that my mom used to take ne tok when I was little. I had honestly forgotten all about it. When I reached the fall, I saw that she hadn't noticed me and was drawing the scene in front of her. Careful not to alarm her, I stayed in the cover of the bushes so that I could see her but she couldn't see me. And I just sat there watching and protecting her.

As I sat there, I thought. Man, I am so whipped.
