Yesterday was a rough day, let's just be honest. Anyone of us could tell you that it was not a good day. Today, we planned on going to the beach. But the weather told us other wise.

"Looks like no beach," Niall spoke as we all stood on the balcony, watching it pour rain.

"Darn," Louis spoke.

I walked inside and into the bedroom where Emma laid sound asleep. We were seriously up all night long. I'm being serious. She stayed up crying most the night. I'm surprised she isn't having a nightmare. Oh gosh, I remember. The sound of rain helps her sleep at night. I ran down the stairs and stopped when I saw all of the boys sitting on the couches in the living room.

"Are you okay?" Niall asked.

"Get an app that has rain sounds on it," I told them sitting in the floor.

"What for?" Harry asked as they all got their phones.

"Do you hear that?" I asked as rain hit the roof, making sounds.

"Yeah, it's the rain. Michael see if he has a fever," Calum said as Michael put his hand on my forehead.

"No," he spoke towards Calum.

"Guys, I'm fine. You hear the rain, but what do you not hear?" I asked.

They thought for a minute and their eyes lit up.

"Emma! We don't hear Emma!" Ashton exclaimed.

I smiled, "The rain helps her. So if she's with any of you and she goes to sleep just play the rain sounds."

"When did you get smart?" Zayn teased.

I rolled his eyes and we ordered in Chinese. Emma woke up and came downstairs and ate some of my rice and chicken.

"Let's give you a bath," I told her as we walked upstairs.

"I'm helping," Ashton spoke as he grabbed her some pyjamas.

I gave her a quick bath and Ashton got her out and  dressed her. We returned downstairs and Harry was playing WII. Mario to be exact.

I set Emma down and grabbed my phone. I went upstairs and shut the door, dialing a number.

"Hello?"

"Hey Jack. You have a minute?"

"Of course, yeah. What's going on?"

"Emma has a disease where she has nightmares. She relives the old past times that were tragic."

"Oh my god, Luke I'm so sorry man."

"It's alright, I just haven't told anyone except for the boys and I knew I could come to you first."

"Wait, you haven't told mom? Are you insane?"

"No! I just haven't got around to it."

"We'll call her. But warning you, she may call you. Later bro, love you."

"Love you."

I sighed, plugging my phone up and returning downstairs, where Zayn and Louis were playing Mario Kart against each other.

"I'm going for a drive, don't wait up," I told them as they have me weird looks.

"Daddy I go?" Emma asked.

"I don't know sweetie, it's getting late," I spoke.

"Luke, it's raining. Take her so she won't get a nightmare," Michael insisted.

I nodded, picking her up and carrying her with me. I buckled her in and got up front, pulling out of the driveway and driving around Miami.

I drove back towards the house because Emma was fussing in the back.

"Emma, baby it's okay," I spoke as I glanced back there.

She's dead asleep. Damn, it didn't work this time. I does towards the house and dashed inside with her in my arms.

I put her on the bed and shook her. I picked her up and rubbed her back. I walked down to Ashton's room and opened the door, him laying in bed playing on his phone.

"Luke?" he asked standing up.

"I need your help. But first, put on some sweatpants or something man," I spoke as I went back to my room.

He ran back in wearing sweatpants an a cold cloth in his hands. He placed it on her forehead and she woke up.

"Okay, you're alright sweet pea," I cooed to her as she cried in my embrace.

"No more daddy," she cried.

"I'm sorry babe, but you're going to have more," I spoke as I looked at Ashton with tears in my eyes.

I wish this was the end, but it's only the beginning.
