"What do you mean he escaped?" I asked them.

"We mean, he's gone. Ashton what should we do?" Harry explained to me.

"I want to kill him," I hissed.

"Ashton, this is not like Sons of Anarchy. We can't go around and kill people and the cops not know about it," Michael snapped.

"What can we do?" I asked looking into the hospital room, seeing that Luke is holding Emma tight to his chest.

"Get a restraining order, leave town once Luke gets released," Niall spoke sadly.

"If he's out, then he's coming straight here. We're going to be here for like five days, six tops. I can keep guard," I said.

"We can take turns," Louis says, "you don't need to do it by yourself."

"Are you all sure? I mean you guys have rehearsal and a meet and greet tomorrow," I said.

"We will be fine. We're usually late anyway," Liam said.

"Alright then, now that it's settled, I will take guard from 8-1," Zayn said.

"I'll take 1-8. I slept on the way here, not really that tired," I spoke as they all nodded.

"Seem to be doing well, Mr. Hemmings. You may get to leave a day early if things continue this way," the doctor spoke as we smiled.

He soon left and Zayn got in his position.

"Why won't Zayn come in?" Luke asked.

"He said that he's waiting for a phone call and that he's gonna wait a while before he comes in. He doesn't want there to be so many people in here," Calum lies.

Luke nodded and Emma was sitting in Harry's lap watching a movie on his phone. Who knows what it is.

The five hours went up quickly and Luke and Emma were passed out. I was keeping guard for now and Zayn and the others went to the hotel so they can get up early for the meet and greet.

I stood at the door until Michael brought him and I chairs.

"Ashton," Michael spoke as I look over, seeing Luke's family.

I simply got up and went a hugged his mom; and I didn't let go. I began crying.

"I'm so sorry," I whispered.

"Shh, Ashton, son calm down. Luke is a strong boy, he's going to be up and running before too much longer," she comforted me.

I look over her shoulder and Ben and Jack stood there and stared at me. They've never seen me cry before. Too late now.

"Ashton," Michael spoke from inside the room.

"What?" I asked.

"It's past 8 man, Calum said that you should come in and rest," he told me.

"I'm fine," I told him as I glance back down at my phone.

"Ashton get you ass in here," I heard Luke say as I tried not to laugh.

"Fine," I sighed.

I walk in and Luke shot me the bird, him and his family laughing.

"What was that for?" I asked smirking.

"For not listening to first time," he said as he huffed.

"When can I get out of here?" he groans sadly.

"Soon, I promise," Calum said.

"Yeah, but I wanna get on the road. I'm tired of laying here all the time."

"Luke you've only been here for like a day," Jack says.

"Yeah, and it's been torture," he says smiling.

"We're ready to leave too, don't worry," Michael and I whisper.

"Hey, Luke, we've kind of got something to tell you," Calum said.

"Yeah, it's really important," I spoke.

"Okay," he said, "I'm not dying, am I?"

"No, god no. But you remember the man that shot you?" Michael said.

"Yeah, of course. I can never forget that bastard. Why?"

"He's escaped."

Until that moment, I have never in my life seen Luke so upset and angry. And it is killing me, slowly, but painfully.
