"Michael, shut up!" Ashton yelled on the tour bus.
We're on our way to Santa Fe, New Mexico and Michael is on the phone with Macy.
"Ashton, leave the boy alone. He hasn't talked to her in four days," I told him.
He rose from his bunk and shot me the bird, then put his earphones and went back to bed.
I laughed, as I turned to Emma.
She was playing on her iPad, being as quiet as she could be. Calum hadn't felt well and she didn't want to bother him, even though he was in the bunk under us snoring his ass off. He probably just has a cold, he'll be fine.
The drive to our new location is 12 hours and we've been on the road for like five. None of us have slept except for Calum. Maybe Ashton now.
I look over and Emma was playing some sort of princess game. I didn't want to bother her, she was quiet and she was happy. Last night she had a rather rough night with the paparazzi.
I got up from my bunk and checked on Calum, making sure he didn't have a fever. Then, I went and peed because I really had to go.
I walk to the front of the bus and search for my computer. Michael walked in and smiled at me, then sat on the couch.
I go back to my bunk after finding it and put in Tangled for Em.
"Hey Em, wanna watch Tangled?" I asked her.
She turned to face me and nodded.
She cuddled into my chest and the movie started.
-
"Damn it."
"Cal?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He called from his bunk.
"You alright?" I asked as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes.
"I'm fine. That wasn't me," he spoke as I jumped down from my bunk.
"Then who was it?" I asked.
I looked in Ashton and Michael's bunk. Ashton was gone and in the bathroom.
I looked at Calum and we both knew what the other was thinking. What happened in Miami.
Both Calum and I ran to the bathroom and I knocked on the door.
"Ash?" I spoke, careful not to wake Michael.
"Yeah?" He answered back.
"Are you okay?" Calum asked concerned.
"Yeah mate, I'm fine," he spoke as he opened the door.
He looked fine, he seemed fine. Both Calum and I's eyes looked down at Ashton's wrists, making sure he didn't do what he did last time.
"I promise, I'm okay," he assured us both as we nodded.
All three of us, now four because Emma woke up, we to the front of the bus to play Xbox.
"Why did you ask if I was okay?" Ashton asked as he paused the game him and Calum were playing.
"Because you said damn it. We thought," I stopped because he knew what I was implying.
"I didn't say anything," he told us.
"Wait, what?" Calum asked.
"I didn't say damn it. Well, then I didn't," Ashton spoke.
"Then who did?" I asked.
"Michael maybe?" Ashton suggested.
"He's dead asleep," Calum spoke.
We all looked at Emma. I highly doubt it was her.
"What?" Her small voice spoke as her face rose from my iPhone.
"Baby girl, did you say a bad word earlier?" I asked her.
"No," she spoke shaking her head.
"Then the last person is Michael," Ashton spoke, "I didn't think Emma said it anyway."
"I didn't either, we really did think it was you," I spoke.
I set Emma in Calum's lap and went to the back to check on Michael.
He was sweating. It was him.
"Michael," I spoke as I shook him.
"Michael," I spoke again. Nothing.
"Michael fucking Clifford!" I spoke louder as he woke up.
"What?" He groaned as he tried rolling over.
"No, don't go back to sleep. We need to talk," I spoke as I got on the bunk, sitting at the end.
"About what?" He asked tiredly.
"How much sleep have you been getting?" I asked him.
"Normal, maybe less. Why?" He spoke.
"Have you had nightmares?" I asked him curiously.
"A few, why?"
"Yeah, you could be getting what Emma has. It's slowly going away for her, but to prevent you from getting it you need to listen to something that will help you sleep. Also maybe some good music, not songs about death or any shit like that," I told him.
He nodded, "Okay. Thanks Luke."
"No problem. Get rest, you look like shit," I told him.
"Thanks. You look like shit too," he called as I got out of his bunk
I shot him the bird and he laughed.
Once I returned to the front of the bus, I was informed we only had about two hours left until we got to Santa Fe. I'm so flipping hungry.
-
We finally have made it to Santa Fe. Thank god. We're all so hungry.
We unloaded the bus and went inside.
I was given the hotel keys once we reached inside. That was probably good, the other probably would've lost them.
We went to our room on the 11th floor and I unlocked the room, it being the same as last time; there being 4 rooms, 3 bathrooms, and a side kitchen and living area to go with it.
We all chose our rooms and decided we would go to McDonalds. We just don't want to go sit in somewhere.
Ashton got up front to drive, Calum being in the passenger seat. Emma sat between Michael and I.
"Michael, when are you dying your hair again?" I asked him.
"I don't know. I want to do like bright blue again though," he spoke, "I may do it while we're here."
We all had a conversation as we were getting our food. When we reached the hotel, we ate and watched a movie.
I look over after the movie was over and Emma was asleep in Calum's arms. Calum was dead asleep on the couch.
Ashton and Michael were awake, but barely.
"Let's go to bed, we'll leave them here," I spoke quietly as the two tired idiots nodded.
They went into their rooms and I grabbed Emma's blanket for her. I laid it down on her, grabbing a larger blanket to cover both of them up with.
I kissed Emma's forehead and I checked again for a temperature on Calum. He barely ate anything.
I returned to my room and immediately went to bed
