"Daddy?"
"Daddy, wake up."
"Daddy, please. Uncle Michael is scaring me."
I felt small, cold hand go to my arm and I slowly opened my eyes, them meeting Emma's scared ones.
"What's wrong sweetheart?" I spoke tiredly.
"Uncle Michael is scaring me," she spoke as she almost started crying.
"Shh, don't get upset. I'll handle it," I spoke as I kissed her cheek.
I set her on my bed and slipped on a t-shirt, already wearing sweatpants. I grabbed my phone and we across the hall to his room. He then screamed, making me nervous
I dashed to his bedside, him now sweating and breathing heavily in his sleep. Damn nightmares.
"Michael," I spoke as I started shaking him.
"What?" He spoke as he shot up.
"Dude, what's wrong? Why are you in here?" He asked me.
"Emma woke me. She was scared. You screamed. Are you okay?" I asked him as he let his back fall back onto the bed.
"Shit, okay. Yeah, I'm fine. I didn't mean to scare her, im sorry," he rambled.
"It's fine, she's over it now. But now I'm worried. Dear god Michael, how long has this been going on?" I asked him as I sat down.
"I don't know. Few weeks maybe," he spoke.
"Did you have one at my house?" I asked.
"Yeah, that's why I was up first," he explained
"Dude, listen to these. It helped Em," I spoke as I turned on the rain sounds on my phone.
"Are you sure?" He asked me as I set my phone on his bedside table.
"Yeah, get some rest. We've got a concert in two days. I need you well rested," I spoke as I left and shut the door behind me.
I went to the living room and checked on Calum. He was awake actually. I look over at the microwave, it reading that it's 2 in the morning. So the concert is actually tomorrow.
"Dude, why are you up?" I asked.
"I should ask the same thing," he spoke as he gave a weak smile.
"I'm serious," I spoke.
"I just really don't feel well mate. I've got the biggest head ache on the planet earth and my stomach hurts so bad," he complained.
My father instinct kicked in, making me feel my best friends forehead for a fever. It felt a little warm, I could break it now if I got some Advil in him.
"You're starting to get a fever, Cal. Lets run to Walmart. The one here is open 24/7. You need Advil," I spoke concerned.
"Luke, mate you don't have to take care of me. I'll make it," he spoke weakly.
"Get your ass up, we're going to Walmart," I spoke in my dad tone.
"Yeah, okay," he spoke as I smiled to myself.
We put on our shoes and grabbed the car keys, making sure everyone was asleep. Once we checked everyone, we quietly left the hotel room.
"Luke, you really don't have to do this. Its 2:30 in the morning. You need rest," Calum told me as we got stopped at a red light.
My hands left the wheel as I looked over at Calum.
"I'm fine. You need the rest," I spoke as the light turned green.
