"The most pain"

I believe the most pain comes from someone you love getting in your face and saying things that no person would ever dare say behind your back. Acting like it never happened the next day. The bible says to forgive and forget, but those images are seared into my mind forever. And the words have taken the already broken pieces of my heart and shattered them in the ground, because you don't love me, you have disowned me without cause, actions speak louder than words! You say I'm just trying to protect you, but it's you I'm running from. I'm running from the pain you put on me. I'm running from the accusations and the punishments of the innocent man you put in this prison you call a home. You are the dictator of my soul and my freedom. I have lost the will to go on in this wasteland of life. I will never go back, you have sealed my fate. And when I walk out that door you will never remember me again. I am a dead man to you now, you killed me in my youth. I am free of your bonds of slavery and dictatorship. I will not be remembered as your child, I will be remembered as the survivor of the greatest disaster of all time. And when I'm gone they will talk of how I became great, it was by your hands and your words alone. All that cruelty paid off, all those sorrows you caused were by your own hands. I leave you now to think on these things.
