He agreed to tag along. It was perfect.

This hideout was very special to me. My brother and I would always hide out here. Whenever we had rough times, this is where we'd go.

Now adays, it seems like everyday is rough so I'm always here.

Its like a forest and we built our own bridge and mini treehouse.

Yeah call it Terribithea or Narnia if you want, because that's what it feels like sometimes; unreal and imaginative.

It's the perfect getaway and now I feel really happy to finally share it with someone, its been like ten years since I've gone to this place with someone.

Shawn and I got to know each other a little during the ride.

He told me how his dad was really successful but never had time for him. He's the only child and has a maid that nurtures him as if that was his mom. He doesn't know much about his mom, nor his dad since he's never around.

I told him that I could relate to him as well, but vice versa since it was the situation of only having a single mom around.

"I will always be there for you. Honestly. I thought my life was bad enough, but there are people who have it worse than me." I inched my pinky finger out to guesture a pinky promise.

He took it. and gave out his hand back.

"I promise that I will always stick around and be here whenever you need anything." he responded back. I trusted him.

And in this moment, I felt the care again. Just like the time, I ran into that old lady who took off my bandana for me, Iris Rene.

We arrived at the lonley bus stop, it would take around ten minutes to get to the destination.

First off, we had to walk into a pathway of an abandon park. Then climb this little hill that was a little stake for where my getaway actually was. Behin that hill was where I stored some leaves and branches to cover up my treehouse.

"So this is it." I told him inching out my arms at the scenery of my treehouse, which is also where I threw away 'useless' things that my mom didn't want around the house.

"I felt like I've been here before." he told me saying it really slow, observing the perimeter.

"Can't be possible because I've only been here with my brother."

'Who's your brother?"

"I don't know him."

It hurt to mention my brother and tell people that I don't know where he went or where he is with life right now. I felt like I could tell Shawn everything. He's probably the only one that know's this besides my other 'friends' and of course family.

Shawn grabbed my hand and let me into the tree house.

"I don't have to hear anymore of this if you don't want to talk about it."

He turned around to look out the window and capture the view. It was honesly much better looking from up here than on the flat grounds.

Shawn said it was humid and with that, he slowly took off his hoodie, making his tshirt on the inside flow up as well. He tossed the hoodie aside on my little bench I had up here.

"Taylor?" he asked softly. "Do you ever come here and cry?'

"Why?" I wasn't sure if I could answer that.

"Because, I so would." he was completely honest and that's when I admit to him, "It's the only thing I do over here."

"But Tay, you seem so outgoing and really social with like compete strangers." he said really deeply.

I didn't want to crush his feelings and his perspective of me so I went over to the window and blurred out, as loud as I could, "COCK!" I laughed so hard holding my stomach. It's been a while.

Shawn's eyes just widened. "Shh you might wake up the birds." He was doing that uncontrollable smile again.

I didn't hide my humor with him and let everything out as he did the same.

Shawn had his big back still and I found what could be in it. A guitar.

He says he writes songs so he must sing.

I wanted to ask him what was in there or possibly let him sing or share some of his lyrics with me but I felt like that was too soon, he said it was personal.

We hung around there until the sun was about to set. Layers of yellow and orange and pin filled the air with slight strokes of white indicating the clouds.

I think Shawn was having a hard time getting back. It wasn't necessarily dark but you couldn't really see what's on the floor, like the branches and gravel.

"Let me walk you to your house. Well that's if you want, like I can. Nowhere for me to go after anyways." I asked really awkwardly just to make sure the words came out right.

I waited for his reply but he seemed in deep thought. Well, it's probably a no.
