I didn't really get locked out. I missed Taylor sleeping near me. His warmth was soothing and everything I wanted.

Jack Gilinsky text me.

"Shawn! Please come over! Please!" he texted but I said I had plans already.

"One hour won't kill you or hurt anybody? What do you say. You haven't seen me in like forever, let alone NEVER." he went on.

I guess I'll go. I asked for his address but he said he'll pick me up.

I was about to text Taylor that I'm going to run late but didn't want to mention that I'd be with Jack. In the middle of thinking, I heard a knock on the door.

"Hi did anyone order a pizza?" some guy, that was obviously Gilinksky, was facing the opposite way. Then he turned to me and said, "Well I don't have any!" he mad this hilarious tone to go along with it.

"So what are we doing!" I questioned.

"Lets just drive around. We can think of something along the way."

He was awkwardly shaking his leg and tapping his fingers on the steering wheel.

Jack made a turn into a familiar building.

I guess we're going to the store?

"So I'm at Target real quick. I just want to buy some snacks."

When we walked in, it gave me so much memories.

Tay.

Something in my mind knew something was up. I felt like he needed me.

I was kind of upset that he never text at all or tried figuring out where I was on behalf of not showing up.

I sighed which made Gilinsky concerned.

"Umm... sorry did I do something wrong? like I'm just getting snacks for our movies." he informed.

"I'm cool. It's fine. Grab what you want, take your time."

My last thought made me not want to see Taylor. He didn't worry for me? Didn't check up on me nor send a simple text.

Nothing.

I let Jack lead me around the place for around ten minutes. That's when we got back to his car.

We had small talk during the ride.

"Oh Johnson isn't home?" he questioned as we passed by his house.

I guess he can tell by how the car isn't there.

He open the door for me and walked me through. We went to his basement and he started questioning me while we walked down.

"How long have you known Taylor?"

"Five days or so."

Another one, I assume about Taylor.

"Does he treat you right?"

"Wait what um huh?"

"You know friendship wise?"

"Yeah fine."

This better be his last one. After this I'm declining all of his questions.

"What are you and Taylor?"

Well I'm declining earlier than I thought.

"So..." he tried to bring me back to my thoughts while plumping onto his couch.

"He hasn't talk to me yet I don't know what's up." I shrugged. "Oh so you two have talked about this before." he asks.

"Why are you even asking me about Tay?" I snapped a little but innocently.

"You know, you shouldn't call him that."

"What, why not?" I did gaining closer on to him.

"I can't mention it. I guess you two aren't as close if you don't understand that." Gilinsky chattered on.

"I understand. He also told me he likes when I call him that so." I pushed Gilinsky on the chest as he grabbed my waist and pulled me down with him.

I was on the couch with my face a couple inches away. My thighs were over his while my knees were folded

"Well if we're talking about what guys like, I like when you do this." he gave a one sided grin.

That's when he leaned in trying to push me close aside to him.

"Hey we shouldn't do this." I confirmed.

"Why not cutie?" he seduced, putting his hands on my back raising them up an down slowly.

"I don't want this."

He opened out his arms and let me move away. I grabbed his hand.

"Jack, I know you don't like me. Well you do but wouldn't you rather do this with someone else? Maybe... Jack Johnson?" I tried hinting out to him.

"What! Jack Johnson oh please no way Shawn no fucking- okay you're right." he started this uncontrollable laugh.

"See. I know you like him. Why don't you try texting him now?" I handed his phone over to him as he grasps on my hand without taking the phone.

"Sorry. I don't want it to seem like I was using you or because I was lonely. I did mean to spend time with you but something came over me and it left me kind of heart broken." he finally removed his hand away from mind, swiping his phone off my hand.

"Can I ask what it was."

"Johnson never text back." he sighed. "I was worried because we didn't see his car and now he doesn't want to reply.

"You'll get through it. Maybe I can get some information on Johnson, using Taylor to tell me." I sneered.

"Oh so now you mention Taylor. Thought you didn't want to talk about that." he smirked patting my knee.

We spent the rest of the time with more deep talk. He promised he would drive me home but in the mean time, it was nothing but the past memories we had.

"Hey. Time passed by quick. It's around 1 am. So you want me to take you home now cutie?" Gilinsky asked but I couldn't help but give off a tiny giggle.

I nodded and he inched his arms out for a big grip around my back. With that, he left his hands on his hips, gesturing me to put my arms through it. While scattering up the stairs he purposely tripped me for jokes and I actually did stumble.

When we arrived at my house. He parked and stomped his foot onto the pavement.

"You don't have to come out." I informed Gilinsky as he was already walking behind me on my pathway.

"I want to. Walk you. It's late." Gilinaky said slowly. Walking and stepping in between each sentence.

When we got to my doorstep he said his goodbyes and leaned in forcefully jamming his damp lips on my cheek.

"Bye Shawn Mendesie." he gave such a relaxed tone. "Good night."

I gave him a last hug. "Thanks for everything, good night Jack Gilinsky."
