Arthit POV

When we finished breakfast that day  I had left in a hurry to the hospital leaving a astounded Kongpob behind. It had cost me great effort to conceal my feelings regarding the issue but i was afraid that if I told him about Bright, my past and everything else he would just leave me, not wanting to deal with such a pathetic nuisance as I was. So I left as soon as I could taking the subway to the hospital. I hated the subway system but I could find my way through it if I took the time.

When I finally arrived at the hospital I felt weak, in what state would she be? I walked and asked someone who walked in front me where I could find the info desk. After some explaining on who I was a nurse came and took me with her to the IC department. When I walked alongside the beds I could hear machines working and beeping, people were coughing and the typical hospital smell penetrated my nostrils. I hated the hospital, they were no good if one needed treatment. I had been there some times but the answer had always been: We are truly sorry but I am afraid we can't help you. We have arrived sir, she currently is awake but don't make it too long. When the nurse left I breathed in as deep as I could trying to find some hidden confidence in my heart, but I couldn't, I didn't dare to go in and face my worst nightmare. So there I stood, no confidence, full of fear, faced with that what I believed was the reason or maybe even destined purpose of my existence. Arthit, is that you? A soft voice called me out. When I heard those words I didn't mind anymore and I sped inside, tears falling, my hands shaking stumbling to her bed. Granny, It was all I could say before I broke down, sobbing and crying, but she was still alive. Arthit, just cry it out, don't hold it back. I sat down while she took my hand, softly squeezing it, I completely lost it, all the emotional pressure I had build up the past 2 weeks just released itself in one go while I buried my face in my hands, shaking nearly uncontrollably. The pain I had felt had been unbearable and when I sat her feeling how she still cared the memories of my mother inevitably came back to me, the scene of her death echoing through my head. Grandma don't leave me, don't leave me alone. Who is there for me when you die? Arthit, look me in the eyes, I slowly regained control over my breath although it still hitched when I looked at her, Who says I'll leave you and who says you will be left alone Arthit? Don't answer me, but just think about those questions would you. I love you and always will do so, but at some point I shall have to go. When that moment comes you need to be prepared which is something can't wait for because I am old and my time is near. Even though this won't be my death if the doctor is right I still won't live much years from now, sometimes we need to let go Arthit, that's extremely painful but it is something you must learn. I slowly nodded, trying to hold back the tears that resurfaced, my heart clenched, how could I ever learn to let her go? The pain of thinking about it was unbearable let alone what it would feel if she would be really gone.

Your time is up sir, I must ask you to leave. The nurse had come, grandma was sleeping soundly, Goodbye grandma, and please get better. I left the massive bouquet of flowers on her bedside and went back to the elevator, into the subway straight to the campus. I felt empty and still my emotions raged within me. I went to the auditorium, I needed to play, this anger needed to be released. I don't think I have played the instrument louder or rougher than that particular day but it sure lightened the emotional load I felt.

When I left the campus that day I heard a awfully familiar voice, hello arthit, at the same point I felt 2 people grab me and push me in a car. Get him to the basement Rome, there I shall deal with this piece of junk. After a short drive the car stopped, I was rougly taken out of the car down some stairs and pushed into a familiar chair. Good to see you back again, now tell me How is your grandma Arthit is she feeling better already, or is she in need of some, "help"? My heart felt as if it turned in circles through my chest, I couldn't say a word, shaking with anger and rage, but above al fear. He had brought his face close to mine, gritting his teeth before slowly uttering: if I target her, there will be NOTHING you can do about it. You bastard, you, you, you, I was simply out of words to describe him.

Bright looked in Arthit's face, cold and unmoving, his eyes like orbs of ice, blue and hard, cold and motionless, looking down at the helpless creature before him. He was cold and emotionless, hungry for revenge. this man could do anything, he took out his pistol and armed it, you are gonna pay arthit, pay dearly you will,

Never, but i shouldn't have said that as he fired bullets all around me with shards of concrete falling and shooting around me, I screamed in terror, pain and fear with blood oozing from my neck and cheeks. I never had been face to face with death this close while thinking clearly, the thought of dying alone compressed my chest, giving a feeling as if I was to implode. I shall pay whatever you want, it was enough and I broke, whatever you want I shall do. Just leave her alone. What about your roommate Arthit should we kill him as well? No he doesn't know anything, don't hurt him, please don't. I felt them untying my hands and feet kicking me in the side before they walked away.
