Sophia:

I found Noor talking with Jasper after school on my way to the front of the building. I went up to them and forcibly pushed myself through them to talk to Noor, totally ignoring Jasper.

            “HI NOOR!” I said excitedly.

            “Um...hi!” she said.

“How was your day?” I asked her in an over cheerful tone.

            “Good. What-”

“That’s amazing! So do you get our social studies homework? I don't. Can you help me with it?” I then pulled my textbook out of my backpack and pushed it towards her. She took it, looking at me confusedly.

            “You’re acting weird,” she observed.

“That must have been the three sodas I had today,” I said, waving a hand in the air.

            “Oh...okay,” Noor said.

“Excuse me,” Jasper said. When I ignored him, he tapped me on the shoulder. I jumped away.

“You’re invading my personal space!” I yelled at him. He looked surprised and took a step back.

“Yeah, that's right! MOVE!” I told him, releasing the anger I had been holding against him.

            “Sophia-” Noor started to say.

“Come on Noor! Dad's here!” I switched back to my overly cheerful tone and dragged her to the car then shoved her in. Then I turned and grinned and Jasper then waved at him before I got in the car. He was standing there, looking confused.

“What was that all about?” Noor asked me.

            “What?" Dad asked.

“Oh, it was nothing,” I said, unconcerned.

“Okay. Well, how was your day, kids?” Dad asked. He looked at me, and I watched the road anxiously as we pulled onto the highway. We almost crashed, but Dad looked back just in time and swerved away.  The car jolted violently though from the sharp turn. I flew forwards, but the seatbelt pulled me back.

“I can’t wait until I start driving,” I muttered sarcastically. Dad laughed.

“That might be in a while,” he said.

“Why? Im sixteen,” I told him.

“Yeah, but still...” he said, which is what an adult says when they don't have a reason for something. Well actually, everyone says it when they don't have a reason for something.

After that there was silence until we reached the house. I could tell that Noor was wondering what was wrong with me so before she could ask, I went straight up to my room.

I waited there for a few minutes before I realized that I needed to get my homework, and I had left my backpack downstairs.  I had a lot of homework.  I opened the door to my room as quietly as possible and went downstairs.  Noor was nowhere in sight.  Dad turned the corner.

“Hey, Noor’s been worried bout you.  She said you were acting strange.  Is this true?” he said, looking at me worriedly.
